As an Independent Living Coordinator you will support people aged 55+ living in our independent living schemes by responding to enquiries, maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-maintained scheme, and building positive relationships with the tenants - providing practical support, advice and guidance while helping them access the services and community resources they need to maintain their wellbeing and independence.

You'll need:
- Good communication skills
- A genuine desire to support people
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Join Progress Lifeline's Emergency Home Response Team and help older and disabled people, and others who need additional support, remain safe, reassured and independent in their own homes.

ℹ️ About the Emergency Home Responder role
This is the first Emergency Home Responder role of its kind at Progress Housing Group within the Progress Lifeline service, offering the security of a guaranteed 40 hours per week in a hands-on, community-support role.

Based at Sumner House in Leyland, you'll use a company van to support customers across the local area on day or night rotas, with shift patterns arranged with you well in advance.

You don't need to have done this exact job before. What matters most is that you are:
- Compassionate, calm and customer-focused
- A confident communicator who can build trust with customers, families and partner services
- Have a full UK driving licence

Full training will be provided:
- Previous experience in care, healthcare, emergency response, customer service or another people-focused environment would be beneficial, but it isn't essential
- We'll invest in you from day one with training in First Aid, moving and handling, specialist lifting equipment, safeguarding, risk assessment, emergency procedures and technology-enabled care

"I really enjoy my work; keeping the schemes clean, and engaging with tenants and my co-workers as I go. I also have a great manager, who I find very down to earth and very supportive. "

Join us as an Emergency Home Responder - Flexible work that makes a difference in your local community.

As an Emergency Home Responder, you will be at the heart of providing support to local people when they need it most. Whether you are assessing an emergency situation or offering reassurance and comfort, your role will be rewarding and hands-on.

Working from home, you will be on call during agreed shifts and attend emergency calls in the South Ribble area when directed by our Progress Lifeline Alarm Response Centre (ARC). And, as a casual worker, you will have the flexibility to accept shifts that fit around your availability 🙌

Full training will be provided. No previous care or healthcare experience is necessary, but you will need compassion and a genuine desire to support vulnerable people.
