Our main opening times for all activities are Monday, Friday and Saturday 9am to 12 noon, call in to see what we do at our large craft and workshop areas with essential tools and equipment and space to learn and engage in a range of arts and crafts!

Here’s a great Shed joint effort all in aid of charity. Paddy is showing off his table lamp fashioned from a redundant woodworking brace, bulb holder and a wooden base supplied by David. Who will then sell it on his table at the upcoming Shed Christmas Fair in aid of the people of Ukraine. Look out for a post soon about Davids work for the New Forest for Ukraine charity.

Leyburn Shed donates to Royal British Legion

Leading up to Remembrance Sunday Leyburn Community Shed members present a donation cheque for £100 to the Leyburn and District Royal British Legion.
RBL Chairman David Halliday received the cheque, which was raised by member Simon Higgott teaching poppy making courses using wood from The Shed, cut to shape and beautifully finished.
Pictured in the Shed workshop are (from left to right) ; Shed members John Cale, Wendy Bannon, Simon Higgott, RBL’s David Halliday and members Clare Coulstock and Tracey Higgott. The RBL supports the ever changing needs of the Armed Forces community. It contributes to bringing society together recognise, remember and support the Armed Forces community.
The RBL welcomes new members to contribute to its fund raising efforts in aid of serving and ex British Armed Forces personnel.

Here’s an upcoming event full of good cheer for this christmas !
The Shed will have two stalls full of hand-crafted goodies and useful gifts, and member John is pictured here already starting to make christmas trees to decorate your home.

Well done to member Wendy who created these signs for the Quaker Meeting House. She is a multi-talented lady, who is probably our eldest member, but without stating a ladies’ age, I can quote her as saying “being ….years old doesn’t stop you doing things!”
