The Band of The Royal British Legion, Leiston

The band is out again this coming Sunday, 14th June, this time playing for the Southwold Mayor's Parade. We'll be coming through the town from the Market place at around 10.45am to reach the church ready for the Civic Service, and returning again after the service.
In the afternoon you'll find us on the Prom near the Pier, so do come along and enjoy the music.

As the summer weather is on the way (fingers crossed!) we have our usual Seaside Brass gigs coming up - come along and listen to the band playing in Aldeburgh or Southwold.

Don't forget it's our Spring Concert at St Margaret's Leiston - Church of England tomorrow afternoon, Sunday 10th May, at 3pm. Tickets £10 on the door, free for under 18s. Plus afternoon tea and prize raffle!

Come along and hear the band playing at The Long Shop Museum this Sunday, 19th April, at their Steam Up! We'll be playing from 11.30 am.

Did you know that the band was originally the Garrett Works Band? 140 years ago Garrett's put forward a large sum of money to the fund to purchase instruments to form a band in Leiston, and the band has been part of the town ever since!
