At the last status check the battery indicator was down to one bar. This indicates that a new battery should be ordered. The cost of the battery was covered by the 10-year worry-free consumable package purchased in 2017. Cabinet cleaned and site tidy-up.

Great news for Little Horkesley 💚

The village now has its first public access defibrillator, installed following CPR and defibrillator training delivered by our EEAST Heart programme and Nayland Community First Responders.

EEAST Heart is a free community-based education programme in basic life support (BLS) and defibrillator awareness (AED) for the members of the public run by EEAST volunteers and staff. The courses are funded by your generous donations to the East of England Ambulance Service Charity.

Located at the village bus shelter, the defibrillator will be easy to access in an emergency and could help save lives.

This incredible achievement shows what a community can do when people come together to learn life-saving skills and support one another.

👏 Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen.
