❗️Session Canelled❗️

Due to unforseen circumstances, the foodbank will be closed this evening and the ususal 5pm-6.30pm session will be cancelled.

💚We will be open again as normal at Friday's session 10am-12pm.

🥳This morning, at the start of this Volunteers Week we celebrated the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.

☕ Thank you to Paddy, Muriel, and all the team at McDonald's Larne for inviting us for a coffee morning in recognition of the work our volunteers do. We had a wonderful time!

📅Each week, we have many teams of volunteers, totalling just over 60 individuals, who dedicate their time to the running of Larne Foodbank;

- Those who collect donations from donation points
- Those who weigh in, check and date the donations
- Those who organise the warehouse and store
- Those who pack the emergency food parcels
- Those who greet people with a friendly smile and a warm cuppa when they come to Larne Foodbank for support
- Those who do paperwork and signpost people for further support
- Those who help manage the running of Larne Foodbank on our management committee

🫶On top of this, our volunteers support each other, pray diligently for our town, step into the gaps and go the extra mile in so many unseen ways.

💚It's in the seemingly small and humble acts of service for others, that the greatest warmth, love and hope can be found. Volunteers - thank YOU for giving up your time, for sharing your compassionate heart, and most importantly for being a part of our team!

🦷Last week, we were delighted to welcome Cristina, Practice Manager, and Irene, lead dental nurse from Moyle Dental Care Official to Larne Foodbank to share more about what we do.

🛒After asking for our most needed items, Dr Cosmin Mușat, principal dentist at Moyle Dental Care, delivered an overflowing trolley full of these items!

🎵Two of our lovely volunteers have been hosting the refreshment stall at Larne Music Festival today and have been enjoying listening to the amazing talent on display

🍰 Did you try any of the homemade treats at our stall today? These two ladies are the fantastic bakers who have your tastebuds wanting to come back for more!

☕️Please come down and join us for a cuppa and a treat, and enjoy the amazing local talent as they take part in Larne Music Festival. All donations go directly to the work of Larne Foodbank

🎼The music festival will continue to run daily, through until Saturday 25th April, when the music festival will hold its Gala Concert!

💙We really enjoyed our visit from Andrea from The Sparrow Centre on Monday.

🧴We were donated some fantastic Spring Cleaning gift bundles to distribute. Andrea explained how these bundles had been put together by the kindness of so many different community groups, organisations and individuals over the past few weeks.

💚At Larne Foodbank, we are always so humbled to see how our community comes together for the greater good - to meet the needs of each other in a practical, meaningful and helpful way.
