ANNUAL FUNDRAISER DAY

Many thanks to everyone who turned out and supported us at this year’s annual fundraiser day which raised just over £2000.

Firstly, we would like to congratulate the Boyne Square Young Team who finally got their hands on the Eadie Galbraith Memorial Cup by defeating the Auld Timers 6-3. The match started off well for Auld Timers who took a 1-0 lead before finding themselves 5-1 behind. The game then turned back in favour of the Auld Timers through two quick goals, before the Young Team added a sixth to confirm their victory. A massive thank you once again to all the players and staff who took part in the game and helped to raise over £800. 👏🏻

We would also like thank the young lads and girls from the A2i Youth Project who also raised over £800 at their sponsored walk on Saturday morning. 👏🏻

Finally, we would like to thank everyone who attended our fundraiser function on Saturday evening, and the following local people and organisations who both supported and donated towards Saturdays events:

ANNUAL FUNDRAISER DAY

🔹We hope to see the local community turnout tomorrow in support of FCF and Boyne Square Bonfire Society at their annual fundraiser day.

🔹Firstly at 10am tomorrow, we have a sponsored walk from Larne Rangers Club with our two teenage youth groups.

🔹Then kicking off at 2pm, Boyne Square Auld Timers take on the Boyne Square Young Team at the Cliff. Will the Young Team finally get their hands on the trophy, or will the Auld Timers make it 3️⃣ in row???

🔹The day will be topped off with a function in Larne Rangers Club from 8pm. Only £5 admission.

🔹All proceeds raised tomorrow will go towards the annual Boyne Square Festival that is being held on Sunday 12th July this year. Many months of hard work and fundraising initiatives are carried out behind the scenes to ensure that this event is provided free of charge for local residents and visitors each year. Tomorrow is a great opportunity for us all to come along and show our support.

BONFIRE UPDATE

Information below from Boyne Square Bonfire Society:

A temporary perimeter has today been installed at the bonfire site until our heras fencing has arrived. We ask that everyone would please remind young people not to tamper with the fencing.

Collections have now started and our first small delivery of pallets has just arrived.

Anyone leaving materials off at the site should do so only from the Greenland Drive entrance. All items must be left on to the main concrete square.

WE ACCEPT ✅
- Pallets
- Wood
- Sofas/Chairs
- Bed bases
- Doors

WE DON’T ACCEPT ❌
- Household waste
- Hedge trimmings
- Tree/Grass cuttings
- Tyres
- Electrical items
- Any toxic materials

We would also like to ask that residents in neighbouring properties, please keep a close eye out for anyone fly-tipping at the site.
