Kirriemuir Youth Project provides young people with safe spaces, trusted mentors, and informal education that foster essential life skills, mental well-being and social development. By focusing on empowerment, it reduces risk taking behaviour, boosts educational engagement and helps individuals build confidence, resilience and a sense of identity.

Youth work has 3 key principles:
1. Young people choose to participate
2. Youth work builds from where young people are, individually
3. Youth work is an equal partnership between youth workers and young people

Angus Cycle Hub - Free Children's Bikes

Angus Cycle Hub CIC, are looking for young people in Angus, aged between 5 - 17 who feel it would benefit their health and well-being if they got on a bike! They want to encourage journeys to school or for leisure by biking into adulthood!

Specifically we are targeting those who are:

- Children facing barriers relating to cost and wider life challenges
- Young carers and care experienced young people
- Those who cannot meet the cost or are in receipt of benefits

If accepted onto the scheme you can benefit from:
- FREE continued access to refurbished bikes.*
- FREE helmet for each individual on the scheme.*
- FREE bicycle lock to help secure your new bike.*
- FREE support materials including cycling route cards.*
- Access to a cycling support officer to assist you on your journey.*
- That warm fuzzy feeling knowing you're helping to reCycle in Angus

Anti-Bullying Week 2025 will take place from Monday 10 – Friday 14 November with the theme of ‘Bullying – The Power of One’.

“We’re calling on all adults to take action this Anti-Bullying Week to help raise awareness of ‘Bullying – The Power of One’ and galvanise children and young people to become powerful anti-bullying activists.

We know from data that over 30% of children between P5-S2 experience bullying which can strip away their feeling of control and power over their own lives. When our sense of power is taken away, so too are our feelings of control and ability to take action in our lives. This is key to good mental health and wellbeing.”
