The Memory Cafe is run entirely by a wonderful team of volunteers who put so much time and thought into making it a success.

Every single one of us loves supporting our amazing guests and their companions through their individual journeys.

We had an absolutely wonderful session today🤩

The room was filled with laughter and joy from all our wonderful guests and of course, Pixie the dog! 🐶 It was great to have residents from Pear Tree House Care Home and The Manse Nursing Home join us today too.

Along with excellent refreshments, we enjoyed a selection of delicious ice creams to keep everyone cool. 😎

To mark Dementia Awareness Week, we planted forget-me-nots, followed by a very successful game of musical bingo, a raffle, and a lovely sing-along to end the session.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Donna and Alison from Rosemary and Time, who kindly visited and brought along some delicious cakes. We truly enjoyed your company and look forward to seeing you again.

⭐️ We’d also like to give a special mention to Katy, Emily, Molly, and Henry, who give up their school holidays to volunteer with us—There help is incredibly appreciated and everyone looks so forward to seeing them all. ⭐️

We are truly overwhelmed by the tremendous support shown for The Memory Cafe last night.

The room was filled to capacity of about 90 wonderful people.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and supported us. 💜

We are thrilled to announce that the event raised an astonishing amount of money of £1,200.

This is more than we ever imagined and will be put towards growing The Memory cafe further to ensure we are supporting all people with memory conditions within the Fylde Area.

As it is Dementia awareness week- We were kindly invited to AFC Kirkham Companions group, which is held every Wednesday (1.30pm-3.30pm) at Kirkham community centre to spread awareness of The Memory Cafe and what we have to offer.

We were made incredibly welcome by all and especially Ryan.

The fabulous, highly-organised Bingo Night in aid of The Memory Cafe is fast approaching! We can't wait to see so many of you there to support this event.

We understand that not everyone can make it on the night tho.
