We have attended the opening session today and this is going to be a wonderful resource for everyone in Kirkham and surrounding areas!

Despite the rainy weather outside, the Sherburne room was filled with sunshine and laughter today! ☀️☔

Refreshments were flowing, complete with Liz’s famous lemon drizzle cake and delicious tea loaf. ☕️

We had a wonderful, sociable time catching up over Lego, with some truly amazing creations built.

Katy and Emily did a brilliant job hosting Musical Bingo, bringing so much joy to the room. 🤩🤩

The raffle was a huge highlight as always—a big thank you to everyone who kindly donated prizes! 🙏

🥳We sang a very enthusiastic "Happy 21st 😉" birthday to Liz (whose birthday was yesterday) and presented her with a card and a gift. Without this amazing lady, our Memory Café wouldn’t be here! 🥳

A special thank you to Rob and Mary for bringing along their guitar and leading us in a fantastic sing-along. 🎶 🎸

As summer holidays nearly come to an end, we want to share a special message for the young volunteers who chose to spend their free time with The Memory Cafe Family.

⭐️ A huge THANK YOU to Hugo, Katy, Emily, and Molly! Your time, hard work, and kindness brings more joy to everyone here than you'll ever know. ⭐️

We wish you all the very best as you start your new school year, and we can't wait to see you again at half term.

Today’s session was truly amazing!

Our refreshments were a wonderful toffee cake, kindly donated by Book Bean & Ice Cream, alongside Liz’s delicious lemon drizzle and chocolate cake.

We were kindly joined by our local dentist Ali and her wonderful dental nurse from Kirkham Dental Care, who generously gave up their time to talk about the importance of dental health and reminding us that doing even a little bit is always better than nothing. It was an exceptionally informative and everyone thoroughly enjoyed. 🦷

Hugo treated us to playing two lovely music pieces - what a talented young man! ⭐️ He was followed by Lioban who played her violin beautifully while the entire room sang along. Music is so important. 🎻

The Mothers' Union kindly dropped off the most beautiful fidget blankets for us today. They are greatly appreciated.

We would like to personally say THANK YOU for each and everyone who have been part of today’s session as you all have made such a difference. 👏

This truly touched our hearts today hearing from one of our guests “I love coming here because it makes me just as happy as being at home.” ❤️
