🎃 Spooky Season at The Memory Cafe! 👻.

We had a fantastic, full house for our Halloween special today! ☕✨

A massive thank you to Book Bean & Ice Cream, and to Carol and Liz, for providing today’s delicious homemade refreshments. 🍰🍦

Here’s a little look at what we got up to:

👋 Special Guests: We were delighted to welcome the Trend family, who jumped right in and helped out around the room thank you 🤩.

🎃 Spooky Decor: Our tables looked wonderfully festive thanks to the beautiful pumpkins carved and wordsearches by the Townsend girls. It was great to have you join us again, girls!

🧵 Crafts & Music: Today’s activity was pumpkin threading! It brought a mix of successes and challenges, but everyone went home with a finished masterpiece 😅 Emily also kindly brought her guitar along for one of our guests to try out! 🎸

After a brilliant raffle, we ended the session on a high note with Rob and his guitar. We had an amazing sing-along and even threw a Halloween song into the mix! 🎶

P.s. Best costume award 🥇 goes to Ray- check his picture out.

The Memory Cafe Kirkham started just over 20 months ago and we never imagined we would receive such overwhelming support from our incredible local community and friends.

We are so proud of everything The Memory Cafe offers to support our amazing guests and their companions as they navigate their individual journeys.❤️

⭐️ Tonight’s Bingo evening in aid of The Memory Cafe Kirkham has raised an astounding just over £1,600⭐️

👏 We want to express our sincere thank you to Anne and her wonderful friends for making this entire evening possible. 👏

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes out to:

• Everyone who attended and supported us.

• Kirkham Conservative Club for their fantastic hospitality.

• Our amazing bingo caller for keeping us all entertained.

• Fox's Biscuits, Henry's Smokehouse, , Stringers Lytham, and Reform salon for their incredible generosity with donating prizes.

• Every individual who kindly donated prizes.

Every penny raised tonight will directly benefit our guests, ensuring The Memory Cafe continues to provide essential support to everyone who attends.

🌟 EXCITING NEWS for The Memory Cafe! 🌟

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we’ve been given the opportunity to be part of the Co-op Local Community Fund!

Every bit of support will go directly to local people in our area living with any memory conditions with their companions who attend The Memory Cafe- Kirkham.

We provide a FREE, safe,and supportive environment featuring homemade refreshments, opportunities to connect, and a wide selection of engaging activities designed to support everyone’s wellbeing.

A massive thank you to the Co-op team for supporting us.

🌟 Wellbeing at The Memory Cafe 🌟

Today, we were delighted to welcome Carol for a wonderful sound bath experience!

Using a variety of soothing instruments and singing bowls, she created a deeply calm and relaxing atmosphere that left everyone feeling refreshed and at ease.

We enjoyed a refreshing selection of fruit, lemon-infused water, and rounded off the session with a fantastic raffle. 🍎🍋

Another brilliant session today at The Memory Cafe—the room was truly filled with love and support. We also had pixie dog join us too! 🐶

A massive thank you to Book Bean and Ice Cream for their kind donation of the delicious Parkin cake.
It was a huge hit, especially alongside Liz’s lemon drizzle cake! 🍰

We were also delighted to welcome Emma from Tesco - Blackpool Clifton Extra, who kindly presented us with a £150 donation to support future activities at the cafe and a selection of treats.
Thank you so much for your generosity!

Today’s group activity featured our “ball of questions,” which had everyone sharing fond memories about their childhood games and favourite holidays—a wonderful way to get everyone chatting and connecting.

To top it all off, we ended the session on a high note with an upbeat sing-along and Happy ‘big’ Birthday to Terry! 🎶
