We all know how important Kirkham Swimming Baths is to the history of our town, and how much potential it has for the future. As a group, we would be happy to discuss helping with the upkeep of the external outdoor areas, so that the site continues to look its best. That may be some time away, but we have our fingers crossed for the future of this much loved community asset.

After achieving a Gold award at the Northwest in Bloom awards we enjoyed a lovely evening at the Kingfisher to celebrate. It is an amazing achievement made possible by the hard work of our eight regular volunteers who give their time throughout the year.

We are also grateful for everyone who supports Kirkham in Bloom in any way. Whether you join us often or only occasionally you are part of our success and we truly appreciate you.

If you are interested in joining our group please contact us. We always welcome new faces and there will be many opportunities ahead to get involved as we continue our work for Kirkham.

🎉🎉🎉Fabulous news! 🎉🎉🎉

Kirkham in Bloom was at the Northwest in Bloom Awards today at Bolton Stadium, and I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that we struck GOLD! 🏅🌸💚

Last year (2024) we were awarded Silver Gilt and we have gone one better this year, bringing home GOLD!

We couldn’t be prouder! A massive thank you to all our amazing volunteers for their incredible hard work, dedication, and community spirit, you make Kirkham shine!

And of course, we couldn’t have achieved this without our wonderful town gardeners, Terry and his team, and our fantastic street cleaner, Phill. Your hard work keeps Kirkham looking beautiful every single day. Thank you all! 🌼👏

Great news! 🌿 Kirkham School Lane Allotments have been awarded Level 5 (Outstanding) in the It’s Your Neighbourhood category of North West In Bloom 2025.

This is the top level (86–100%), and one step higher than 2024’s fantastic result of Level 4 Thriving (69–85%).

Huge congratulations to all the dedicated plot holders 👏👏👏

🌼 Northwest in Bloom Judging Day - A Huge Thank You! 🌼

Hello everyone,

Thank you all so much for your incredible efforts today and over the past year getting Kirkham ready for 2025 Judging Day. The judges seemed genuinely impressed with what they saw.

As they left, they shook my hand and congratulated us on our achievements a really proud moment!

Personally, I truly believe we deserve a gold this year. Last year we were just a few marks off, and the KiB team have worked hard this past year to implement the suggestions from the judges’ report.

The Grow to Give Allotment is looking absolutely fabulous a true testament to what we can achieve together. It’s something we are really proud of.

Our portfolio this year is a huge step up showcasing not just the work of KiB, but also the fantastic contributions from all the local groups that make Kirkham such a vibrant, welcoming place to live and work.

A special thanks to Terry the town gardener for attending the judging party today, as well as Amy and Gail from Fylde Council it was brilliant to have a supportive team, sharing insight into the incredible work the team do, every day in all weathers.

Once again, thank you ALL for your time, passion, and commitment.

We’ve shown the best of Kirkham, and now we wait with fingers crossed!
