Can we mention Christmas yet, I mean it is September?

We can confirm we will be supporting Brian House Children's Hospice through the charity shop on Clifton Street Lytham again. We have some exciting projects to help with the Christmas window display and we will be supplying some hand made Christmas decorations for the shop to sell. All our weekly groups will be involved with the Ladies School of Woodworking taking the lead on the display centrepieces.

As always, all monies raised from sales will go to the amazing work undertaken by the hospice, we as a group cover all the material costs of everything we donate.

Keep on visiting the shop as we have already started to drop in a few items , firstly the amazing hand made Landrover model made by Kirkham Steve.

A quick reminder of our weekly sessions and where to find our workshop.

We are based at the YMCA on Mythop Road in Lytham. Turn right at the end of the drive you will see our containers alongside the large green workshop.

The Men Shed groups are on a Tuesday and Thursday morning from 10.00
Our mixed Community Workshop runs on a Tuesday afternoon from 12.30
Our Ladies School of Woodworking is on a Thursday afternoon from 1.00, though this is fully subscribed.
(We are definitely not working 9-5 and it's definitely not driving us crazy. ♥️)

Our annual membership fee is just £20 per year and then it is just £2 per session you attend.

Wandering Walter goes to Tiverton.

The Upcycling Guys have been busy whilst the workshop move was in full swing creating our very latest mi-Mover. This version was specifically equipped with an interchangeable tipping wheelbarrow and watertank with pump.

Walter, as named by the customer is now on route to Tiverton in Devon, no wandering Walter 😂.

A fantastic opportunity at the Fairhaven Wellbeing Hub, Methodist Church at the end of Woodlands Rd. Either join the group at the church for some children's activities or grab a bag and pop down to Fairhaven Lake and Gardens or Granny's Bay for a picnic. ♥️

We have free packed lunches from Wesley's Community Cafe & Larder for kids tomorrow at Fairhaven Methodist Church either stay and enjoy our kids activities or take a picnic to Fairhaven lake !

Don't forget to visit the Windmill and Old Lifeboat House Museum this weekend if you are at the 40s weekend in Lytham.

The tea room will be fantastic and rumours have it an air raid siren might make a Very Loud appearance.

Fantastic to see our Big Bug House at Lytham Station getting so much attention from visitors and locals alike. Great work from the Friends of Lytham Railway Station, Lytham St. Anne's who always take the opportunity to engage with the public and encourage the younger generations to explore the bug house and get comfortable with all God's creatures, no matter how scary they might appear. 🕷️🪳🦋🐜🪲🦗🪰🐛🐞🐝♥️

It's manic at the YMCA Lytham Official based workshop on Mythop Road in Lytham. Our workshop expansion is well underway and the YMCAs own developments are rapidly developing.

This week we moved a lot of equipment over to the new workshop area and started the kitting out of the area, it will take a few weeks as we need to get it right for every group that uses the space.

Our Tuesday afternoon mixed Community Projects Group is busy , however we need to look forward and plan our next projects. So if you run a local community group on The Fylde and have some ideas of things you would like to have just let us know about your ideas .....

Meet Winnie the Waterer ❤️, you will see her trundling the streets of Ansdell watering the amazing floral displays, with the help of the amazing volunteers.

Ansdell in Bloom has named the machine and J. & A. Porter Funeral Directors, Lytham have supplied a fantastic name plate.

Our best wishes are extended to everybody at Ansdell in Bloom for this coming Tuesday when they are judged by the RHS for the Nationals 🤞

We thought Winnie the waterer 💧deserved a little name plate. Good luck to Ansdell in Bloom for judging day on Tuesday. 🌻
