🔧 40 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚, 𝙖 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙛𝙛 & 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙖𝙠𝙚! 🍰

What a fantastic return after our summer break! 𝟒𝟎 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 came through the doors of Kirkcudbright Repair Cafe, bringing 𝟏𝟕 𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 along for our brilliant volunteers to investigate, tinker with and hopefully bring back to life.
From electricals and woodwork to tiny, intricate mechanisms, there was some serious repairing going on — fuelled, naturally, by tea, chat and cake. ☕🍰🪛

The Kirkcudbright Repair Cafe is taking a well-earned break during August, but don't panic—we'll be back with our screwdrivers, sewing kits, soldering irons, tea, cake and smiles on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫!

Giving The Nith a voice

The River Nith is one of the principal waterways of the and we're delighted to share a very special and truly unique event celebrating our connection to the river and the communities along its journey, bringing together art, environmental action and local heritage in one vibrant festival.

Now in its 14th year, Nithraid will take place in Dumfries on Saturday 15th August and will feature a spectacular boat race journey up the River Nith from Glencaple before the boats arrive at Mill Green. The colourful Salty Coo Procession will be full of music, costumes and giant flags, and a packed programme of free activities, exhibitions, talks, workshops, films and live performances will be running throughout the day. Produced by EcoArt, Nithraid is FREE and everyone is welcome.
