We welcomed ๐ฏ๐ฏ visitors and tackled ๐ญ๐ฑ items ranging from electrical gadgets and jewellery to bags, chairs, watch straps and sewing repairs. Some items came in looking a bit sorry for themselves and left with a new lease of life!
A special mention goes to our very own ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฑ, who kindly presented the Repair Cafe team with a new soldering iron. A very welcome addition to our repair toolkit and one that will no doubt help save many more items from the bin in the months ahead.
๐ง๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ธ ๐๐ผ๐, ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฑ! ๐
Plenty of heads being scratched over repairs ๐ธ Tools being put to good use ๐ธ Happy visitors and busy volunteers ๐ธ The usual mixture of teamwork, tea, ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฎ'๐ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ and repair magic.
Not everything can be fixed, but every item looked at is one less thing heading straight to landfill and one more opportunity to share skills, stories and a cuppa.
A huge thank you to all our volunteers, fixers and visitors. You are what makes the Repair Cafe such a wonderful community event.
