Such an amazing example of people working together. Every town needs a Usual Place. It should be funded centrally but if there are any people out there who can get behind it financially, please do. 💓

The Usual Place - which works with young people with disabilities - is having to make redundancies.

WHEAT will be holding its AGM on Thursday 27th February at 2pm in The Garden Room at 95 St Mary's Street. Trustees will be stepping down and for WHEAT to survive we will need people to step forward to take the main roles of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. In these precarious times it is vital to keep trying. Hope to see you there.

WHEAT is a charity that seeks to run a cafe similar to (but smaller than) The Usual Place. We are based in the Stewartry area of Dumfries and Galloway. Looking for new members to join our project and also for potential volunteers. Please come and help us open the doors to those who feel they have a barrier to entering the workplace 🫖
