Ofgem has announced a rise in the energy price cap for October to December. This rise follows a previous one in the summer, which was largely masked for households by warmer weather reducing energy consumption.

Prices are expected to be around 17% higher than in April, after accounting for the VAT cut on energy.

The rise was expected following continued conflict in the Middle East affecting global oil and gas markets.

If you're worried about the price rise and want advice on getting your home ready for winter, get in touch and arrange an appointment with one of our energy advisors.
