Last week at 4th Kirkcaldy Boys Brigade.....

We hit the beach, even though it was muggy, misty and light rain, for the Big Sandcastle Challenge.

After this event had been cancelled twice, due to predicted rubbish weather, we flung on our waterproofs and grabbed our buckets and spade and off we set.

The boys' had a ball building their Sandcastle, installed with moats and walls and after a paddle in the sea, digging massive holes, chucking stones and getting absolutely filthy, we enjoyed freshly made smores.

Apologies to the parents, who are probably going to be finding sand in their car until November.

Cleaner fun this week 😄 I promise 😏

Last week at 4th Kirkcaldy Boys" Brigade....

Anchor's team's Ace and Vox battled through games and a quiz for the final team points.

Which team will win this year?
We'll find out in couple of weeks.

Junior's joined Company Section for an evening of den building and had an introduction to map reading.

See you all again tonight from 6pm 😃

Last week at 4th Kirkcaldy Boys' Brigade....

On a glorious, sunny evening we hit the beach.

The sun shone, there was a gentle breeze, we were at one with nature.....

Some, more than others, were very much at one with nature, as the majority of our Anchor's ended up absolutely filthy and soaking wet from paddling up in the sea 🌊

Did the boy's have a blast? Yes they did.

Were parents silently raging at pick-up? Most probably.

No regrets whatsoever😆🏖🕌🪏🪣☀️

As it's volunteers week we would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to our staff.
Our staff are with us every Thursday night and we couldn't do any of this without them.
It got me thinking 🤔 How long have our staff been with us?
So I tallied up all our years in service.....
And it looks like we've been here since the beginning of time 😆 at approximately 150 years 😆😆😆 Sometimes it feels like it 😆

Today marks the start of Volunteers' Week and we want to say a huge thank you to our 6,500+ volunteer leaders for all they do! 🙌

In communities across the country our children and young people are provided with opportunities to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment, which wouldn't be possible without the tireless dedication of our volunteers.

Keep an eye on our social media channels throughout this week as we'll be sharing stories from some of our volunteers of why they do what they do!

Last week at 4th Kirkcaldy Boys Brigade....

Anchors headed to the park.

The rain stayed away and the boys' had a fantastic time. As always we ran out of time and we had to head back for pick up time 😕😭

Juniors were introduced to vintage computer games.

Comments such as
"This is way old!" And "This was out when you were a kid? This is ancient!"
Had staff on edge as staff believe this to be only a few years old and staff are clearly still in their prime.😉

All in all a fantastic night had by all and we'll see you all again tonight.
