From the scenes in Queen Victoria Square earlier today to the passion shown across our city, this was a moment Hull will never forget.

Hull City’s promotion to the Premier League brought thousands of fans together in celebration, showcasing the incredible spirit, pride and unity that makes our city so special.

Owner Acun Ilicali spoke about visiting Hull for the first time, looking around our wonderful city and deciding there and then that Hull City would be his team. That belief, passion and ambition have inspired supporters and the wider community alike.

Hull is a city full of heart and opportunity, and moments like this remind us all that we truly have a city to be proud of.

Dear city centre businesses,

What an incredible achievement for Hull City ⚽️ in winning yesterday’s Championship play-off final! 🏆

The city is absolutely buzzing with excitement and pride, and we’re expecting a fantastic atmosphere across the city centre as supporters and visitors come together to celebrate. 🎉

Hull City Council and Hull City AFC are hosting a public celebration event in Queen Victoria Square tomorrow (Monday) from 15:00 to 17:15 with entertainment from Steve Jordan and DJ Eddie Richards, music starting from 14:00. A big screen will show highlights of the team’s journey in reaching the final along with footage of the game.

From 16:00 there will be a host of interviews with appearances from the full first team players, coaches and Chief Executive as they thank fans for their incredible support.

With tomorrow set to be a real scorcher ☀️, we’re expecting high footfall throughout the city centre, so please make sure fridges are fully stocked with water to help visitors stay refreshed while enjoying the celebrations.

Congratulations once again to the Hull City players, staff, supporters, and everyone connected with the club. Enjoy the celebrations, Hull deserves this! 🏆

The BID launched its Supper Clubs in 2024 with the aims of supporting the city centre’s hospitality sector and bringing together the business community for informal networking opportunities.
After a hugely successful debut event at Bilocca – the training restaurant at Hull College – BID took its community of discerning diners on a tour of some of the city centre’s most enticing and exciting eateries.

For Biz Week, HullBID will partner with Rosedana, which opened in George Street in 2025 and is hitting the heights with exquisite cuisine from three continents served in a spectacular setting.
