Come & see some familiar faces at The Place to Bee cafe in Kingsthorpe. Providing students with hands-on experience in a real business setting, we are delighted the new equipment is being put to good use. Now under new management, it is proudly run by The Cube. If you feel like a quick cup of coffee, a sugar fix from the sweet shop or a leisurely lunch, there is a warm welcome for all.

This wheelchair represents more than support for one person. For families of young adults with disabilities, access to the right equipment isnโt just about mobility, itโs about independence & easing the load on the entire family. We are so pleased our donation has played a small role in their journey. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission.

up a storm for The 16th Wine Dinner auction winners who so generously donated to The Goed Life. Mouthwatering food served in the comfort of their home which we heard was paired with some exceptional wines too! Thanks to for supporting The Wine Dinner at the Savoy Hotel and thank you auction winners, we cannot do it without you all. The funds raised have contributed to our exciting projects, The Cube Cooking School and The Able Stables.

Earlier this year Mum and I set up The Goed Life. Our aim is to enhance the lives of adults with learning disabilities through the provision of respite holidays, training and other forms of care.
Our primary mission is to help people with learning disabilities train for meaningful employment, giving them a sense of purpose, direction and belonging in their local community.
We were inspired by my brother Sam who has Downโs Syndrome. Two years ago he started work at the Beehive Cafรฉ in Northampton which has been life changing. Not only his increased sense of belonging and happiness but also his progression in communication and socialisation has been monumental. Working 3 hours on a Friday is obviously a tough working week but it is evident to us that so many of his peers and others would benefit from a similar experience.
We want to be seen as a charity that upholds equality in the community through providing a sense of belonging to those who need it most. We want to be a helping hand to the carers and families of those with learning disabilities who may be struggling financially as well as emotionally.
To get involved or find out more about the charity please email us at [email protected], we would love to hear from you!
