🏍️ Advanced Motorcycle Training: Safety… or Just Expensive Ego Fuel?
Let’s poke the hornet’s nest 🤣
Every time someone mentions IAM, RoSPA or BikeSafe, half the biking world nods like monks… and the other half rolls their eyes so hard they see their own brain.
The stats look good - "advanced riders average 15,000 miles between collisions, compared to 9,400 for DVSA passed riders of similar ages". But is that just a reflection of the mindset of people that choose to take additional voluntary training, or the actual training??
👇 Poll - hit the emojis to vote!
Have you taken any advanced training (IAM, RoSPA, BikeSafe, Rapid, etc)?
Love: Yes - and it genuinely made me safer
Care: Yes - but it didn’t magically fix my riding
HaHa: No - might try it though
Angry: No - best to learn from your own experience, not second hand
What’s causing the actual benefit, if there is any? 👀
Better observation? Smoother inputs? Safer positioning? Wiser speed selection?
What REALLY keeps you alive — skill, attitude, experience, or pure dumb luck?
