We're delighted to continue our partnership with Qual Dental Surgery to provide calm, sensory-aware oral health sessions for children with sensory processing differences.

✨ Free/donation-based 30-minute sessions

Join us for a welcoming afternoon tomorrow exploring sensory processing differences and how they relate to autism, ADHD and AuDHD.

This drop-in session is a chance to connect with other families, access practical support, discover useful resources, and speak with professionals in a safe and understanding environment.

Supporting the whole nervous system

For many autistic and neurodivergent children, meltdowns and shutdowns are often underpinned by anxiety, panic and nervous system overwhelm.

Simple polyvagal-informed exercises can help support regulation and make a real difference when practised regularly.

These strategies can be especially helpful for:
🌙 difficulty falling asleep
💤 frequent waking
💛 emotional overwhelm
🌊 meltdowns and dysregulation

Sometimes what looks like “behaviour” is actually a nervous system asking for support.

📚 Our Lending Library includes books and resources to help parents, carers and educators better understand and support children who may be struggling to calm and settle.

You can visit us next on 1st June between 12:45 PM - 2:45 PM at Kingsbridge Hub to explore resources, fidget tools, toys and sensory equipment available to borrow, use and return.

✨ What a lovely morning at The Yard ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Open Play Session 💛

It was wonderful to see children enjoying giant play, crafts and sensory-friendly activities in such a calm and welcoming environment, while parents and carers had the chance to connect and chat together.

Lynne Tarrab-Snooks from The Fidget Project loved meeting so many families and sharing more about the support we offer for children with sensory and neurodivergent needs before, during and after diagnosis.
