Saving Romanian Dogs for adoption
“Lottery Dogs” is a charity registered in Norway.
• Charity Name: Lottery Dogs.
• Registered Location: Norway, with the founder Ingrid Rikstad being Norwegian.
• Registered Number: org.nr.NO 937896670. Our aim is to save Romanian Dogs from public shelters, Braila-Lacu Sarat & other private shelters, pay to get them sterilised, vaccinated, passport & transport
to UK, Europe or Scandinavia & into loving homes. We will have between 5-1 dogs at a time on our page....eventually we hope these will be chosen by our supporters (subject to 'rules' below)
This is how it works:
1. You can buy a 10€ lottery ticket for a specific named dog.
2. You can buy a ticket or donate any amount to general funds
If one dog gets enough tickets bought to pay for one travel then that dog will be prepared & rehomed. If you wish to adopt straight off our page the usual fees & homechecks will apply. We use only reputable, responsible pet travel companies & well established rescues to re-home the dogs in UK & across Europe & Scandinavia. Please note...Norewgian adoptions are subject to different rules under Norwegian law....please ask for advice. The rules!!....There are however a few points to consider....
1. No aggressive dogs can be entered into the lottery. It is a regret but they are difficult to impossible to re-home.
2. The dog must be healthy & not too old to travel safely.
3. The dog must be friendly or have potential - dogs that are scared or shy can take a long time to be socialised & learn to trust humans again. We hope to be able to support 1 of these dogs in private shelter in Bucharest during a re-socialisation & training programme. So if you'd like to help us & support this venture please donate via paypal (friends & family) to either
