I’ve signed up to take part in My WalkIt to raise money for Crohns &
Colitis UK during the month of June.
As I’m still in the recovery phase of my operation, I am walking the equivalent of a marathon on the treadmill in the gym.

If anyone would like to sponsor me, even the smallest donation would make a huge difference ☺️ 🏃🏻‍♀️

This June, I’m taking on the My WALK IT challenge to support Crohn’s & Colitis UK, a cause that really matters to me. In March 2022 I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis & May 2022 I had an emergency life saving operation to remove my large intestine which left me with a stoma. In March 2026 I...

💜 Happy World IBD Day 2026! 💜

Today is all about raising awareness, breaking stigma, showing support and reminding everyone living with Crohn’s, Colitis, IBD, stomas and other bowel conditions that they are never alone 💜

I just wanted to say how proud I already am of this little community we’ve created together in such a short space of time. The kindness, support, understanding and honesty within this group has been so lovely to see already 🥹

Living with these conditions can be incredibly tough at times — physically, mentally and emotionally — but having people around you who truly understand can make such a difference.

So today, be proud of yourselves. Every single one of you is stronger than you probably give yourself credit for 💜

Thank you all for being part of KWCCS and helping create such a safe and supportive space

💜 Just a little thank you post 💜

I honestly still can’t believe how much KWCCS has grown in such a short space of time 🥹

From one first meetup, we now have an amazing WhatsApp community full of kind, supportive people who truly understand what living with Crohn’s, Colitis, IBD, stomas and other bowel conditions can be like.

Thank you so much to everyone who has followed the page, joined the WhatsApp group, shared posts, attended the meetup, or simply supported from afar.

Seeing people chatting, supporting each other, making connections and helping others feel less alone is exactly why I started this group.

We’re only just getting started 💜

💜 Thank you 💜

I honestly don’t quite have the words… over 20 of you came along to our very first KWCCS meetup last night, and I’m so grateful to every single one of you 💜

What stood out most wasn’t the number—it was the atmosphere. It was calm, understanding, and full of people who just get it. That’s exactly what I hoped this would be.

I know it wasn’t easy for some of you to walk through the door, and it really meant a lot that you did. I hope you left feeling even just a little less alone 🤍

This is just the beginning, and I’m really looking forward to growing this community together 💜

If you couldn’t make it this time, don’t worry—there will be more meetups to come.

Thank you again for being part of something so special 💜

See you tonight from 7pm!
