Thank You to Our Incredible Volunteers!

Last Thursday, we had the absolute pleasure of pausing the busy schedule at Kings Food Bank to celebrate the people who make our mission possible: our amazing volunteers.

We hosted a special Afternoon Tea to say a massive THANK YOU for their dedication over the past year. From sorting donations, packing emergency food parcels to delivery and greeting our clients with a warm smile, they have given their time and energy selflessly.
We couldn't have supported our community without them. Seeing them all relax and enjoy cake, sandwiches, and good company was the least we could do to show our appreciation.

To every single volunteer who has walked through our doors: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are the backbone of Kings Food Bank.

Hi everyone! We hope you are all managing to stay safe and enjoy this beautiful heat wave ☀️

While we love seeing the sun, donations are at a low point, but the number of families coming to us for support is still incredibly high. We're running out of the basics.

We are especially low on:

• Rice & Pasta
• Tinned vegetables
• UHT Milk & Cereal
• Biscuits
• Custard
• Mashed potatoes
• Microwaved rice

Please, if you can:
• Drop off at Shakespeare Centre LA9 4HE every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 4 pm
• Donate at any collection point at ASDA, BOOTHS, MORRISONS. For more collection points please check our website www.kingsfoodbank.org.uk

A HUGE Thank You to everyone who walked through our doors, dropped off a bag of groceries, or simply shared our post-thank you. We are so profoundly moved by your kindness. In a world that feels so busy and divided, you took the time to care for strangers.
You gave not just food, but hope.
Your donations keep the lights on and the pantry full. If you are looking to help again, here are the items we are currently running low on:

• Tinned Vegetables & Fruit

Sometimes the smallest people have the biggest hearts🩵

We recently received the most touching email from a parent. Their child had been so looking forward to donating to the collection at their local school, but unfortunately missed the opportunity. Instead of just being sad about it, this amazing young person asked how they could still help.
So last Friday, they came down to King's Food Bank with their parent and donated THREE full bags of food! 🙏❤️

To that wonderful child and their parent: THANK YOU! You didn't have to go for the extra mile, but you did. That kindness will go directly to local families who need it most.

It's a wonderful reminder that no act of generosity is ever too small or too late. 🙏

A HUGE thank you to everyone who made last week's fundraising dinner party such an incredible success!

Thank to your generosity, we raised a grand total of £2,403.96 - every penny of which will go straight to helping local families in need! 🍽️💛

While you're out enjoying this gorgeous warm weather, we hope you're soaking up every ray and having a lovely half-term week with your family! ☀️

But here's the reality: with schools closed, many children who usually rely on a free school meal are now at home. That means local families need extra help - and our shelves are running lower than ever. 💔🥫
We urgently need your support to get through this half-term! A food donation or a financial gift can make sure no child goes hungry this week!

🍽️💚 From all of us at King’s Food Bank – a huge THANK YOU!

Last night, we had the joy of hosting a Fundraising dinner party, and it was truly special – because of the kindness of all of you!

A very special thank you to Graham, Paul, and the wonderful team at Kendal College Catering Department. You helped us bring everything to life with such skill, warmth, and generosity. The food was wonderful, but your heart for our community meant even more. We couldn’t have done it without you.

And to every single person who came through the door and gave so generously – thank you! Your donations will help us continue to support families and individuals who need a helping hand.

We are so grateful to be surrounded by such kindness.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who donated at Morrisons for King's Food Bank! Your kindness - picking up an extra tin, pasta or UHT milk while doing your own shop - will directly help local families facing hardship. We are so grateful for your generosity!

And a massive thank you to Community Champion Kendal Morrisons for their amazing support! From letting us set up a collection point to encouraging their customers to give, they've been a true partner in helping us fight food poverty!
