Headcase Cancer Trust

Headcase Cancer Trust Headcase is a young and vibrant Charity with a slightly irreverent approach to a very serious subject matter.

Headcase raises money solely for research to find a cure for an incurable, and frankly, absolute git of a brain tumour called Glioblastoma (GBM)

We set up the Headcase Memory Wall as a place where family and friends could put a permanent memory of a loved one.

Some people tell the story of their loved one's journey with Glioblastoma, others just their personal feelings, some are short, others not. One father wrote a poem about his Son.

We've just added a memory for Diane Case to the Wall. Her daughter Elizabeth sent us the photo and words to remember her Mum.

Diane was 82 years old and is at the opposite end of the scale from James Jones who, at 17, is the youngest on there.

Anyone who has had a family member or friend that has succumbed to Glioblastoma can put a photograph and words on the Memory Wall. Just get in touch.

Explore the Memory Wall at Headcase Cancer Trust and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who inspired many.

Amazing People Doing Amazing Things!

Elena and Meg are fundraising in memory of their friend James Jones who died with a Glioblastoma in 2018, aged just 17!

You can read James' story on our Memory Wall on the Headcase website.

Elena and Meg are trying to raise £2000 and are well on their way to that total. This weekend (19th April) they are running the Manchester Marathon to help get themselves over the line (bad pun I know!).

If you can spare even just few £'s, you'll be helping them, supporting the memory of their friend, and helping Headcase Cancer Trust in its quest to find a cure for Glioblastoma.

Dig deep please.

What a view, right? The Pyrenees.
And it’s almost time for me to head back there, supporting Pedal the Pyrenees cyclists as they ride across this range, raising money for Headcase Cancer Trust.

As of Monday coming (18th Aug), I will have four full weeks left in clinic before I set off. I’m fully booked this week, and almost fully booked next week. I will post regularly about availability but please book in sooner rather than later, even if you want seen in September.

Last availability currently Tuesday 16th September. I’ll return to clinic Friday 3rd October.

Call, text or WhatsApp to book 07912058130
Please don’t use Facebook Messenger as it’s unreliable and I’ll likely miss your message.

Be More Headcase!

Another quite incredible amount raised by the Burrows family in memory of Colin. Great also to see Beeston Fields Golf Club is still supporting both them and Headcase Cancer Trust so well.

Over £5,000 is just amazing! ❤️

BIG BIG thanks to all!

What an incredible day and night we have had at Beeston Fields Golf Club for the Headcase Cancer Trust.

They enjoyed a fantastic round of golf, followed by a delicious two-course meal 🍽️.
The evening was topped off with an amazing raffle and auction table — and thanks to everyone’s generosity, they raised over £5,000 for this amazing cause! 💛🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who supported, donated, and helped make the day such a success. Together, we’re making a difference. 🙌

Amazing People Doing Amazing Things.

So, we (finally) made it down to Abingdon for the Prog For Peart Festival. The brilliant Mark Cunningham has been running the festival and donating profits to Headcase Cancer Trust for 5 years.

We met some fantastic people (Proggers?) and watched several excellent bands.

The festival runs over 3 days in memory of Rush drummer Neil Peart who died from Glioblastoma.

We'll definitely be back next year.
