This is where you can really help us.

Our event on Sunday was great. Loads of ideas for the future and memories of the past. Little to say about the Town Hall today - underused, unloved by SBC and Live Borders.

So we need your input. Here is our survey that will help us gather your thoughts and ideas. This is essential if we're to have a hope of making something of Jedburgh Town Hall.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow 11-2 at Jedburgh Town Hall for a cup of tea and a chat about whether we want to save our Town Hall and what it could do for the town going forward. The Swimming Pool group will also be joining us and of course, it's Summer Market day too!

We're really pleased to announce that we are now OFFICIALLY a charity. It's an important step towards how we want to work for and with our community - a shout out to our Director Antony for all his hard work on making this happen.

We hope to see you on Sunday at our Drop In Session at Jedburgh Town Hall to help us dream up what that place could be.

Last night we were delighted to welcome David Calver and Rowena Renshaw as Directors of Jedburgh Community Arts. We had a really positive meeting with lots of aspirational ideas flying around the table.

We'd all love to see you on August 30th at the Town Hall (11-2) to talk about what the building could or should be. It's a drop in session, just call in for a cup of tea, have a wonder round and have a chat. Let's see what we can dream up!

We've added an Artist Index to our website (link in comments). It's a work in progress but it will list our members who are also creatives. There are all sorts of people making things in and around Jedburgh. Some for fun, some as professionals!

Can you help?

The Jedburgh Community Arts Board is established and its current six members bringing a strong mix of skills and life experience to the group. However, we are in need of a finance specialist to join our Board and support our work, especially as the funding for the work on the Town Hall becomes a reality. Ideally we are looking for someone with an accounting or other finance background, either currently or in a previous role. This person would take on the role of Treasurer for Jedburgh Community Arts. An interest in arts & culture would be a distinct advantage.

Each month we are going to celebrate one of our creative members by using an image of their work as our header image. To start us off this month we have chosen a print by Juliet Porter.
