In 20 years we have taken on a variety of project that support the town, providing facilities for education, recreation and social welfare Jedburgh Community Trust is a charity which was formed back in 2002, with the aim of preserving the built and natural heritage of Jedburgh. With 135 listed buildings within the conservation area, Jedburgh has a rich heritage and a wealth of historic buildings w

hich to this day continue to inspire and attract new business and opportunities to the town. However, over time some of these local treasure can be forgotten and left to fall into a poor state of repair. The goal of Jedburgh Community Trust, is to protect and restore these local heritage landmarks and buildings - saving them from decay and reintroducing their value back into the community. Over the last 20 years, the Trust has taken on a variety of local project that have gone on to successfully support the economic development of the town - providing facilities for education, recreation and social welfare. Set up entirely by a committed team of volunteers, Jedburgh Community Trust relies on the unique skills and support of the local towns folk and businesses to see our projects through. Working together to restore our towns heritage sites and creating a vibrant network of likeminded people, each dedicated to the growth and prosperity of the town we call home.

The renovation of the bakery to create the Jedburgh Creative Quarter is moving ahead at a rapid speed. The ground floor concrete has been replaced, new participation walls on all three floors are being built and insulation being added to all walls. This is an exciting renovation that will provide spaces for artists and workshops and events for the public.

In 2025, the Borders Council were going to close the Glebe Public Toilets, located in the public carpark next two the Abbey Bridge cafe. To keep them open JCT took them on and worked through the year with Abbey Cafe to see if they could be made financially viable. A year on, JCT have found ways to ensure that they are open to the public during the summer. During the low season however the Glebe toilets are now closed for three months and will open again in March.
