Our beautiful Memory Garden is slowly going to bed, with our love and care. There is still some colour though. Thank you all for looking after it, for patrolling and for stopping to chat and encourage us.

And it has happened again, but now - thanks to the camera - we know who you are! Footage will be passed on to Police Scotland as they have a report already open for the previous occurrence.

The Walk It group held an event whereby attendees learnt about propagation. We raised £150 which will be spent on plants 😁. On another note, a kind donator has given us a camera which is now in situ. It is sad that we have to rely on such items, but hopefully now the Memory Garden will be only admired and not vandalised.

Follow up on our vandalism story: this morning another stone had been thrown in the water but thanks to SBC’s Justice Service, it was recovered. Now the broken stones and the unfixed ones, are in a safe place waiting to be reinstalled.

It is amazing the kindness and willingness of people to get into the water!

The Memory Garden has been vandalised again. The sign we put up has gone but most crucial, 6 of the round stones that we use to support us when we are weeding, have been thrown in the river. Two broke, the other four were kindly “fished out” by Evan Hughes from Glasgow.

To the culprit(s) we will say: “we will just sit by the riverside and wait for the body of our enemies to pass by” and it will happen 🤬

Team at work again, planting new acquisitions. We have had a plant stolen and a new sign had to go up. This is very sad and upsetting because each plant either has been donated or purchased with donated funds. Some of the plants have been put down in memory of someone 💔

And our stepping stones are in! The garden looks fantastic after the hard work put in on Monday. Planting due next Monday! Feel free to come and help (2pm) 😉
