Marymass is a traditional horse festival held every August in Irvine. From horse racing to fireworks, funfair, dog show, live music and so much more

Mixing traditional with modern, our 12 days of festivities means there is something for everyone! Marymass Festival Committee (MFC) was set up in December 2012 and is made up of volunteers. The Committee organise the 12 day Festival in Partnership with Irvine Carters Society, with support from North Ayrshire Council.

It's official... The Panto is returning to Irvine for 2026!! 🧑‍🎄

After a hugely successful launch last year, we are bringing the Christmas spirit back to Irvine with 4 showings of Beauty and the Beast! Just like last year, tickets are just £10, and we'll be bringing 2 shows on Sat 12th Dec and 2 shows on Sun 13th Dec! Grab your tickets below!

Kids can enjoy free light up toys on arrival, with a tuck shop also on site at the Volunteer Rooms, Irvine. Shows are at 2pm and 5pm each day. Grab your tickets today before they're gone! 👇🏾

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Wullie’s Mini Skip Hire for their generous support and donation of skips on Irvine Moor on Marymass Saturday. 🚮

Their swift and professional work made them a pleasure to work with and helped reduce the amount of litter around our festival site ❤️

Wow wow wow. WHAT A DAY!

The crowds, the weather, the parade, the atmosphere, the love for Marymass ❤️ Thank you!

You’ve made a wee team of tired volunteers very happy 🐴👑

We can’t recall the Moor or the Greasy Pole hill being as busy as what we saw yesterday. The parade was longer, the crowds were bigger watching it and the Moor was packed with people enjoying everything we had to offer. We’ve got a few more days of work left but, once again, thank you ❤️

From the classics like the Greasy Pole and Horse Racing to our brand new Medieval Village, here is everything you need to know about Irvine Moor TODAY👇

The Greasy Pole is back after its newfound fame last year, with multiple teams battling it out for the ham, including the first all women’s team since the 90’s. Catch all of the action on top of the hill around the racetrack from 2pm.

The shows are back in all their glory for a massive 8 hour session, open from midday. Along from that, we have more than 70 stalls selling delicious food, homemade crafts, games and much more.

Our horse racing schedule is packed this year with 8 races including the highly popular Clydesdale racing. The first race begins at 1.30pm and runs throughout the course of the afternoon.

The Jousters area will also be located near the front, not only bringing two breathtaking shows but debuting a brand new showmanship demo this year! Speaking of additions, we have brought a Medieval Village to Marymass, with over 20 Villagers battling, giving weapon displays and more!

Our free kids zone returns which is PACKED with activities for children of all ages. There is laser tag, archery, an inflatable dartboard and a rodeo bull for those who love a challenge. We also have face painting, a circus workshop and a meet and greet with Jessie and Bullseye! There is also live music, wrestlers and giant games to keep you entertained!

The Paddock is £2.50 entry per person. The bar is within this area, located to the right hand side upon entry to the Paddock.

10am: Parade departs from Golffields Road
10.15am: Reaches the cross and turns up towads Bank Street
10.20am: Turns in to Thornhouse Avenue and Passes through Clark Drive
10.40am: Parade goes through to Stewart Drive
10.55am: Parade passes through Caldon Road and carries down Quarry Road
11.20am: Reaches Turf corner and heads down to Irvine Cross
11.35am: Cuts up East Road and stops at Townhouse
11:45am: Arrival for Crowning
12:30pm: Parade moves off from Townhouse and heads straight up towards Irvine Moor
1pm: Arrival at Irvine Moor
