🔦 Volunteer Spotlight - Collette 🔦

As a long-term member of the church AND the Thursday night badminton club (often stepping in to run it when needed), Collette offered to fill a dual role as our Thursday night caretaker. An offer which we gladly accepted! She has since volunteered for additional caretaking and cafe shifts, as her work rota allowed. As a support worker for adults with learning disabilities, Collette has even been known to bring her clients into the cafe on her working days. What a great ambassador for ConneXions! 😊

💬 Collette says: "Volunteering feels different to actual work - even although you're doing actual work!! You still need to be professional, but it is less serious and more relaxed. It's a privilege to be trusted to do it - and it feels more joyful doing something for nothing." 💕
