Our Social Stitch meetups are designed to provide makers and crafters with a "third space" - a quiet sanctuary away from the noise of the world where you can slow down, breathe, and just be.
But a space can only be a true sanctuary when everyone feels entirely safe, seen, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
As we celebrate Pride Month, I want to explicitly state what sits at the very heart of both Fable & Fibre Co. and Social Stitch: our community is, and always will be, a fiercely inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly, and safe space.
Whether you are pulling up a chair with us by the River Deben or chatting with fellow makers in our private spaces online, you are welcome here. No matter your identity, your background, your pronouns, or your skill level - your presence matters to our circle.
Heritage crafts have always been woven together by diverse hands, shared stories, and companionable calm. Let's keep building a community that is as wonderfully vibrant and inclusive as the things we create.
