We’re proud to be taking part in the National Housing Federation’s Supported Housing Week, 19 -23 October 2026.

Meet Emma…

Emma has been living at Vange Place, a supported living accommodation, since 2002 and enjoys the company of friends, family, and support staff. She loves attending all sorts of events and recently had an entertaining night out at her local arts centre where she was treated to a fantastic live performance by an ABBA tribute band. Emma has been telling everyone about the fun-filled concert and how her and support worker Danielle had the best time dancing and singing along to ABBA’s greatest hits whilst waving her hankies in the air.

💬 Help shape future support for families

We’re supporting a local professional who is researching the information, guidance and support available to families caring for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex care needs as they plan for the future.

The research aims to identify whether there are any gaps in the support available and where improvements could make a real difference to families.

To help inform this work, a short survey has been created. If you have a few minutes to spare, we’d really appreciate your input.

👉 Please take a few minutes to complete the survey:

A fresh start for Sally this World Mental Health Day.

After redundancy left Sally feeling anxious about her future and unsure about finding work again at 62, she found support through WorkWell.

With the help of her WorkWell Coach, Sally built her confidence, worked on applications, prepared for interviews and after six weeks, received a job offer from a local café.

Now, Sally has started her new role and is continuing to build her skills with a Food Hygiene qualification.

Sometimes, finding work starts with finding a safe place to call home.

When Carl joined WorkWell, he was facing homelessness, sofa surfing and struggling to find employment.

With housing becoming the first priority, his Work and Health Coach referred him to Hope into Action, helping Carl move into supported living and find some stability.

Once Carl had a safe place to call home, the focus could turn back to his future.

His Work and Health Coach helped update his CV and explore alternative career opportunities, supporting Carl to take steps towards employment.

Carl’s story shows how the right support, at the right time, can help someone move forward.

Sometimes, having the right person alongside you can make all the difference.
When Kelly joined our WorkWell programme, anxiety, poor sleep and exhaustion had started to affect both her wellbeing and her work.

Her Work and Health Coach listened, helped her explore what might work for her and connected her with the right support, from mindfulness and self-help resources to practical mental health support at work.

Taking these small steps helped Kelly notice an improvement in her sleep and feel more confident about seeking further support.

Kelly's story is a reminder that you don't have to figure everything out alone. Sometimes, the first step is simply talking to someone.

At Papworth Trust, we're proud of the work our teams do every day to support people's health and wellbeing.
