Our next Cancer Support & Social Group will be on Wednesday 3rd June and is hosted by our very own Kimya. Join us at Golden Hind Ipswich 470 Nacton Road IP3 9NF from 7pm to 9pm.

Our next meet up will feature Janet, one of the charities ambassadors with lived experience of cancer, who also works for Suffolk Constabulary. She has kindly agreed to give us a talk on Operation Sumac – The Steve Wright Murder Case and Beyond.

I am really looking forward to this and to seeing you all there.

Final rehearsals this week for our fabulous afternoon of brass band music, all the songs you'll love and plenty of flags to wave for everyone attending on Sunday 7th June from 2pm at Venue16 - all proceeds raised this Sunday will go to support people living with a cancer diagnosis in Suffolk. Last few remaining tickets are available by going to our CSS website and clicking on our Fundraising page then Events. We look forward to welcoming you along to this very special afternoon of live music performed by the Ipswich Hospital Band

Our next All About You FREE Beauty and Wellbeing pamper sessions will take place on Friday 5th June. These are free to those with a cancer diagnosis and take place monthly 10am-1pm in our Community Cancer Wellbeing Hub in the heart of Ipswich. Join us for the ultimate feel-good experience. The session is delivered in a relaxed, interactive format by our beautician Victoria, where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of fizz (or something soft) and a chat, given advice and tips on skincare and make up. We also provide refreshments and lunch.

Our next West Suffolk drop-in Cancer Support Group meets next month on Monday 1st June at the Newbury Community Centre with plenty of free parking outside. Refreshments are provided and there's no need to book, just turn up and chat from 1pm - 3pm next Monday.

Please come and find us — especially if you would like a free skin check.
With temperatures expected to be much higher than of late, please follow this guidance where possible:

Slip on clothes that will protect your skin from the sun
Slop some sun cream over your body before heading outdoors
Slap on a hat to protect your head from the UV rays
Seek shade to stay cool and stay away from direct sunlight
Slide on sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun's glare
