Thank you so much to the fantastic ladies at Self Raising Flowers WI Ipswich for having a monthly collection for us! It's a huge selection of products which will help so many people locally, and it also contains some of our less frequently donated items such as household cleaning products. Thank you, Self Raising Flowers!
🧁
If you know a community group or organisation who could host a one-off, regular or permanent collection for us, like this branch of Women’s Institute, we'd love to hear from you - please get in contact. Thank you.

Fantastic team effort at the Corporate Volunteering Day with AXA Health (AXA) managing to distribute a trolley of products to Michelle at The Family Bank in Ipswich. These products will help so many people so thank you to anyone who has donated recently and to smol for their brand donation!
🌈
The Family Bank is a great volunteer-led charity who provide hampers to families and individuals referred to them, supporting those in the community who need help. They also provide further informational support or sign-post to other local organisations where required.

A huge thanks to everyone at Asda for a fantastic collection of period products! With research suggesting 1 in 10 people in the UK have struggled to afford period products - these will make such a difference to local people. Thank you!
💚
We also have boxes at the Asda and Asda branches and we appreciate the continual donations from customers and staff at all three Asda stores. Thank you to anyone who regularly donates to any of our box locations! Look out for our yellow boxes around the county!

A hugely exciting albeit last-minute day with one of the teams from AXA Health AXA - thank you to the whole team for a fantastic corporate event day last week.
✨
As a team they assembled and packed sample box cleaning kits & laundry detergents provided by smol along with sorting through some other fabulous donations. In one day working together as a team, we managed to distribute 1542kg of products out to 17 of our Community Partners. We know that was only possible with their help and we are so very grateful!
✨
Axa Health was founded 86 years ago and is now one of the biggest healthcare insurers around, helping their members get healthcare, support or even wellbeing advice, quickly.

A very big thank you to both staff and customers at Boots UK on Tavern Street in Ipswich! Our collection box was crammed full of so many useful products and we're now sorting through to see where they are needed most across the local area.
💙
We've got our other Suffolk Boots stores with collection boxes: Ipswich's Queens Way and Two Rivers, and also in Martlesham, Woodbridge, Hadleigh, Stowmarket, Felixstowe, Bury St. Edmunds, Sudbury Market HIll, Great Cornard, and of course, Ipswich's Tavern Street. Thank you so much to all of you for your donations and support across the area.

A photo of Vicky here from Newmarket Nexus receiving a donation of assorted hygiene products. Distributions like this to our Community Partners are only possible with donations from our collection points across the county, so thank you to everyone who keeps adding products to our boxes.
🌈
Newmarket Nexus is a non-profit organisation helping young people in the Newmarket area running many community events and a youth hub. We're hoping some of these products will go towards helping their Teen Hygiene Scheme and young mums through their Baby Essential Scheme.

It's National Hygiene Week!
💛
This week, The Hygiene Bank - Ipswich and In Kind Direct published 'Time to Act: Hygiene Poverty in the UK in 2026', revealing research sharing the true scale and impact of hygiene poverty. The research found that hygiene poverty has gone mainstream, affecting nearly 1 in 5 UK adults including 14% of people in the East of England.
💛
One of the big reveals of the report is that 41% of those affected by hygiene poverty are experiencing it for the first time this year. We don't want any of us to be struggling with hygiene poverty, and we definitely don't want more of us to be suffering. Thank you to all our donors who help us to help others.

It's National Hygiene Week!
💛
To celebrate National Hygiene Week, on Thursday we partnered with Gainsborough Community Library to host a film screening of BAFTA award-winning film 'I, Daniel Blake', the film that inspired the creation of The Hygiene Bank.
💛
A huge thank you to Suffolk Community Libraries for helping us to make it happen and to every single person who came out to watch it with us. We were also so grateful for the collection of donations we received on the night, we will make sure these go to help those of us in the Suffolk area struggling like Daniel & Katie in the film. Thank you again for everyone's support for this event!
