✨A weekend of celebration ✨

Last weekend we had the local church Harvest Festival, it was a lovely service followed by a community lunch and some of the ladies and our Manager Sophie attended and had a great time. Huge thank you for the donations given to the centre.

The ladies got to help prepare the church the day before and joined some wonderful volunteers to do some flower arranging which got put up around the church.

✨Celebrating Creativity✨

Today we want to celebrate one of our current residents & their creativity.
She is an incredible crochet artist, these are some of the things she's recently made!
- A series of items for a residents new family member- how cute will this baby look with his new star outfit ⭐
- A crochet Pokémon

We've also had Wallace & Gromit appear recently too.

One minute it's a ball of yarn, the next we've got these gorgeous items appearing.

Some very key and important people in our team- our On-Call Staff.

Chrissie, Louise & Lauren- our power trio of strong, encouraging and dependable women who support our ladies overnight. They each bring their own character, passions and strength to the team and sometimes we're lucky enough to get them in the daytime too.

TK could not run safely without these women & we are so grateful for them being part of our staff team.

Evening Activities 🌙✨

Last week the ladies got together to watch the start of the Celebrity Traitors series, which caused excitement throughout the day. Not only that but one of our residents cooked up a delicious storm in the kitchen for a family style dinner ahead of the first episode. 10/10 scores all round and it smelt & tasted delicious.🍽😋

Dawn is one of our brilliant support workers here, joining us 8 months ago. Dawn has seen TK grow from the beginning as a keen supporter and we're lucky to have her.

Dawn loves to encourage our women especially with their goals and dreams, she strives to build genuine relationship through showing our residents the care and love they deserve.

Josie has been at TK for three years, she loves all things creative, she has such a heart for the women we support and loves a fun & quirky pin badge. Josie brings pure joy to our centre and strives to really help the women with their emotions and any difficulties they're facing.

Josie is often one of the first staff members you might meet once referred to The Hope Centre so do feel free to ask her any questions about us🌟

Support Worker (Female)– TK Hope Centre
Permanent role, full-time (37.5 hours/week), with some weekend work as part of a rota.

Earn from £26,000 per year in a rewarding role- Working as part of a small and dedicated team, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred support to residents, helping them to rebuild their confidence, develop essential life skills and work towards independent living.

Main office hours are 9-5, but the role requires weekend working on a rota basis, and 2nd on-call duties on a rota.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing day-to-day practical and emotional support to residents.
Supporting residents to improve wellbeing, develop confidence and increase independence.
Encouraging participation in activities, education, training and employment opportunities.
Maintaining accurate records, case notes and reports.
Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and resident wellbeing at all times.
Liaising with external agencies and professionals involved in residents' support.
