We really do need more people to join the committee this year as several members are leaving and we can't organise these events without help - you can of course become a volunteer to help at the events too, but if you love to organise, have some great fundraising ideas then please come along - if we don't have enough people join then the charity will close, we raise money to fund school trips, buy books and other things the school can't do without the support.
Within the committee there are various roles that must be filled for the charity to continue. We currently have a secretary and treasurer but these jobs will need to be taken over so looking for people to shadow those roles.

Please share this with anyone who'd like to join us and help raise money for the children.

Our AGM is next week and we need your support more than ever.

We are a very small team and really need help to organise and run events ( sadly without more support we could have to close down. So all the extras that the children get will stop, this includes money towards school trips, Christmas gifts and other sundries)

On Wednesday 30th September we will be holding our annual AGM online. The link will be available closer to the date.

This is the meeting in which we elect the new committee for the following school year. We have three positions - Chair, Vice Treasurer and Vice Secretary. Then other people can join as elected Committee Members which means you help run CLF.

Last year's Treasurer and Secretary are with us for a bit longer but we do need to fill these roles ready to take over with people shadowing the previous people until they leave.

Our meetings are held over Google Meet in the evening so you will need to be able to attend these and help us organise and plan our events.

We really need as much support as possible, so if anyone can share this within any parent chats you have that would be amazing especially anyone in Nursery or Reception.

As we are a Friends of you don't necessarily have to be a parent at the school either. Just someone who would love to join and help us with raising funds to support the children.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable summer holiday 🌞

Just a heads up that in September we will be holding our Annual AGM where we elect the Committee Members for the next academic year. How would you like to join the AWARD Winning Cliff Lane Friends Team. That's right, Award winning.
We were lucky enough to win The Asset Trust 'Adult Organisation ' award at this year's ceremony.

What was said about us ....

Cliff Lane Friends consistently demonstrate unbelievable resilience and passion when fundraising for our school. Every year they hold a Halloween event, Christmas fair, Wreath making workshops, an Easter event, an enterprise week and the summer fair -as a minimum! This year they also hosted a Lunar New Year event. Due to their tireless fundraising, CLF raised just shy of £10,000 for our children last year. This funded school trips, new benches, a stable for Forest School, a welcome gift for our new Reception children, rewarding rewards, revision books for Year 5, gifts for Year 6 leavers and a Christmas present (a new book) for every child. The members of CLF are all working parents and thanks to their phenomenal commitment and support, all children at our school receive the most amazing opportunities and we are so grateful to them for their continued efforts.

So, if you fancy joining and helping to organise and run events let us know!
