In the new year we would like donations of old children's books (not yet, but we will give a date in January)

So if you are planning a clear out of kids books up to teenage books please put them to one side, they need to be in good condition, so no ripped pages and we will explain more in the new year!

Wreath workshops are running again for 2025 with 2 dates and 2 sessions on each date. Everything you need is supplied but feel free to bring your own embellishments like bows, ribbons etc. Please bring secateurs if you have them and protective gloves if you would like to. Price includes refres

Thank you to all that attended the Christmas Fair this afternoon!

I didn't manage to get many photos as it was so busy, I hear that CraveNpizza and BMC Cakery tasted good though.

Thank you to all the children, teachers, LSA's and staff for helping with the Young Enterprise. We have to count all the money now to see who has won.

If you have won a raffle prize and were not about to collect it you will be contacted soon to arrange to do so.

We will announce the overall total raised very soon too.

Thank you to everyone who donated prizes for the rainbow hamper and a big thank you to Cakes by Dora for the gorgeous Reindeer cake for the raffle. ❤️

TOMORROW!

We look forward to seeing you all after school. Please remember that entry will be via the main entrance and the side door from the car park. Exit will be via the playground.

We have CraveNpizza and BMC Cakery in the playground, drinks and face painting in the canteen, and then the children have been working hard on their enterprise items. There are games to play in the classrooms too so bring plenty of change.

The raffle will take place in the hall at 4.45pm

CLF Christmas Fair

Our annual Christmas Fair, will take place at school on Friday 5th December.

It begins at 3:15pm and finishes at 5pm.

You will need to collect your children as normal from the playground. You will need to make your way down the car park and can enter the fair via the Y3/5 entrance or the front school office.

The fair is mainly being held inside the school, with a variety of stalls and games.

Food and drinks will be available throughout the fair in the canteen, as well as some stalls outside next to Year 3 and 4. Please come along and support this amazing event.

The exit to the fair will be via the playground gates. CLF has asked if you or someone you know can spare 30 minutes or more to help them set up, run games, serve drinks, or clear up it would be greatly appreciated. The children in school will be taking part in Enterprise Week in the run up to the fair. Each class will be given £20.25 to make a product to sell at the Christmas Fair. Classes have already been thinking about what they will make and sell and planning is well under way.

Monday 24th November and Tuesday 25th November 2025
Christmas Jumper collection for CLF. If you have any unwanted or too small/big Christmas jumpers that you would be happy to donate, there will be a box outside the front of school during this time.

Monday 1st December
Rainbow raffle donations to CLF on Monday 1st December for the non-uniform day later in the week
Friday 5th December

Non Uniform Day (Nursery & Y1-6) - Festive attire, sparkly dresses, smart shirts and Christmas ties, Christmas tops, jumpers and dresses to name a few.

This will be in return for donations for the Christmas Fair, see Rainbow Raffle poster below for which colour each year has.

Purchasing Raffle Tickets
Raffle tickets will be coming home on Monday 24th November and must be returned in an envelope to the class teacher or the office by Wednesday 3rd December. Extra raffle tickets will be available from the office.

Christmas Wreath Making Workshops

We really need your help to make the Christmas Fair a success again. If you are able to help, please sign up with one (or more!) of the slots below.
If you have your child/ren with you and they are happy to help as well then put yourself down to help with the games as we know that the kids love to help with these as well and what better role model could you be than volunteering to help and showing them that they can do the same thing?! If you want to run a game with a friend then just add that after your surname.

If you are only able to do half an hour then that is fine – put your name down and in the surname field just add first half hour or second half hour for that slot and we will sort you out. Every half hour helps us not only to run more games and in that way to raise more money, but also as committee members to also have a quick half hour around the fair with our children 🙂

Games slots are for the fun games that we make up and run as well as the tombola or raffle. You will have a printed sheet to show you exactly what you need to do on each stall.

Working in the canteen involves serving food and drinks, no experience necessary, just enthusiasm, and again you will be given guidance on what you need to do if needed. There will always be someone in there who has done it before.

We still have some spaces left at our ever popular wreath making sessions.

Christmas Wreath Making Workshops 2025
Back again for 2025, we will be running 4 Christmas wreath making workshops where you can make your own wreath, supervised by our own trained florist, Lisa Overton.

All materials will be provided so you don't need to bring anything but yourself unless you have anything special you wish to add to your wreath. You may want to bring along personal decorations - ribbon, baubles, feathers for example. You will need to bring secateurs if you have them and might want gloves for handling holly etc.

Refreshments (tea/coffee and mince pies) will also be provided (or you can bring your own) so come and have a fun morning or afternoon making a wreath with friends (please note numbers are limited).

This event is open to anybody but sessions do get sold out so please book early. All proceeds from this event go towards the Cliff Lane Friends charity.

The 2 sessions are 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Saturday 6th December and Saturday 13th December. You will need to book in advance and you can buy tickets via the shop.
