⛰️ Bennachie Hill Race 2026 - A Huge Thank You! 💛

A massive well done to all our participants and congratulations to our winners!

Our first three finishers were:

🥇Robert Sparks from Fife Athletic Club in a fantastic time of 59:05 😮‍💨
🥈Phil Edgley in a time of 1:02:39
🥉Andy King of Deeside Runners in a time of 1:04:38

And our first three female finishers were:

🥇Alyth Gollan from Deeside Runners in a time of 1:11:18 💪🏼
🥈Isla Mackay from Lochaber Athletics Club in a time of 1:14:29
🥉Paula Hohensee in a time of 1:16:55

Thank you to everyone who came along and made this year’s race such a great event.

A special thank you to Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team Aberdeen MRT for their invaluable support on race day. We’re delighted to have raised £500 for AMRT in recognition of the fantastic work they do keeping people safe in our hills and mountains 💛

Autumn has officially arrived!🍂 Which means it’s time for shadow series, time trials and a whole lot of club champs races🤩🏁 Here’s what’s on this week! The first 3k time trial out of 6 will be on Tuesday, a great way to test out your current speed and use it as a bit of motivation to get yourself along to reps to try and be faster next time😆 A long list of club champs races coming up at the weekend including the Bennachie Ultramarathon, Loch Kintore 10k, Speyside 10k and lastly the international trip, where several GRR runners head off to Lisbon to show Portugal what they’re made of💪🏼 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Have fun everyone!!

What a weekend! Another successful Bennachie Hill Race hosted by team GRR, well done to the organisers, marshals, bakers…. not a funcy piece left at the tea tent! But most of all to the runners 💪🏼 well done to you all, another post on that soon!
