We all know your fandom’s deep love for Scottish history, but a real-life Jacobite-era treasure genuinely needs your help.
Meet Sir John Gordon, or rather, his £3 million marble likeness, the Bouchardon Bust. Sculpted in Rome in 1728, this is a literal face from the era of Jamie and Claire. At the exact moment Sir John was sitting for this portrait, Rome was a hotbed of exiled Jacobite intrigue, and he later became a prominent Scottish politician during the tumultuous years of the 1745 Rising.

𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚r!
Having been bought by our local council for a mere £5. In 1998, it was 'rediscovered' in a Highland storage shed, where it had been used as an ashtray; some even tell it had been downgraded to a doorstop!

Right now, a temporary export bar is stopping the bust from being sold abroad to a private collector. We are on a ticking clock to raise the funds needed to save this piece of Scottish heritage and keep it in Scotland where it belongs.

Clan Outlander is legendary for its generosity and passion for preserving Scotland’s past. Let’s rally together to protect Sir John before he's lost to a private gallery forever.

A warm welcome to MSC Preziosa, on her second visit to Invergordon this week! The largest capacity ship to visit us, we're sure that the town will be busy as visitors Explore Invergordon.
It seems like the perfect opportunity to help them walk the Invergordon Mural Trail. 😊
Our Mural Trail leaflets are a great way to discover the story behind each mural, and discover the extended walk that includes the Saltburn Community Woodland Walk, the Polish Monument and the views over the Cromarty Firth from Invergordon Golf Club.

Head to the High Street and spot our new ducks. Grab a leaflet and find them all 🦆 Scan the QR codes for information about each business that is part of the trail.
