It's been a really busy few weeks for everyone at Fox (and at home!) as the end of term usually is! Here goes βοΈ
βΌοΈ Saturday opening βΌοΈ starts this weekend 11 - 2pm
Community Drop-In & Food Share. Just like our Tuesday and Thursday sessions, this is open to everyone. If you're planning to make use of the Food Share, please remember to bring a bag with you. Carrier bag donations welcome. ILM REPAIR CAFE also running on Saturday.
And don't forget that our Family Bingo takes place this Sunday. We hope you'll come along and join us for a game or four!
Our wonderful Becky is now on holiday as she prepares for her wedding this Friday. Everyone at Fox is so excited for her, and we've been busy working on our brand-new wedding play set ready for the big day. This will also be available to hire for anyone looking to add a little extra fun to their own wedding celebrations. π
We're also delighted to say that, after several months of waiting and a few muck-ups from the company, our Rainbow Tent is finally due to be dispatched tomorrow. πͺ We can't wait to get our hands on it and add a splash of colour to our outdoor pop-up play, which will also be available to hire!
We've also been busy welcoming two new members of staff to the Fox family. Kimberly and Clair have been shadowing shifts over the past few weeks and getting to know everyone. We're delighted to have them on board as we can now start adding even more fun!
π It's also Baby Fox's first birthday this week, which is hard to believe! πΆ
It's been all systems go in the garden too. While the horrible rain has caused a few delays to what our S3 kiddos had in mind, they've still been working incredibly hard. We are super chuffed with their efforts each week, and they have really taken ownership and pride in their work. Last week saw a garden tidy-up get underway in preparation for their barbecue next week. Please join us for a burger and see their progress! A big thanks also goes to Gutty for his wall-building efforts.
Mindful Moments Starts next Tuesday too.
2.15pm. Open to anyone living with any form of cognitive decline, familes amd support staff. Please get in touch if you wish to attend.
π Time Capsule - We are chuffed to have 5 primary schools getting involved after the summer holidays.
βοΈ We've had a fantastic response to our first Intergenerational Afternoon Tea, soon to be presented by some Academy girlies. We're delighted to be welcoming four local care homes on the day and hope this becomes a regular event.
Today Ted enjoyed a picnic with several families on Evanton Village Green, and the van is already packed and ready for arts and crafts in the Jubilee Hall tomorrow after school. π§Έπ¨
Fiona is chuffed to be making plans with Home-Start to introduce PeeP sessions to Easter Ross β more on this later!
We will soon be welcoming James Support group to the Hub - more on this later.
Gord has been delighted to welcome some new faces along to his Men's Meet. They've enjoyed some outdoor jobs helping to get the garden sorted, but there's still room for more blokes. Please spread the word to anyone who might benefit from a few hours away from home, a good chat and some friendly company. Everyone is welcome. A big thanks to Prism Events for sponsoring this group each week. π
π³Our 1st block of ASN cookery will run during the holidays- more on this next week after another meeting.
We're also delighted to have progressed to the second round of another funding application. If successful, this could help us bring even more activities, events and support to local families over the summer months, so we're keeping everything crossed. Hopefully we'll be back soon with some exciting news to share!
We know we won't have time to squeeze in another update this week, so we'll see you all when we come out the other side of weddings, birthdays, gardening, bingo, arts and crafts, and everything else in between!
Thanks so much to everyone who continues to support us. Whether you attend our events, volunteer, donate, share our posts or simply spread the word, it really is much appreciated. π¦
