Mr Milo is seeking his retirement home❤

Home needed: No children, only pet, someone who understands Milos need for space, an experienced owner.

Milo is a really sweet dog who loves to be around people, but also is very dependant. He loves to go for walks but races back to our centre so that he can have a run around the field at his own leisure.

Milo will once he trusts you come over and ask for strokes and sit on your knee jumping all over you, when he doesn't want this we just leave him alone, he can be grumpy old man at times which is understandable.

Discarding of Pumpkins Safely! 🎃

This spooky season we are asking everyone to please not leave their old pumpkins on the floor. Instead, place them high up and out of reach of hedgehogs! 🦔

Pumpkin is not good for a hedgehogs stomach and can cause issues that negatively impact its weight gain. This is harmful at a time when hogs need to be fattening up for winter and hibernation!

So please, make sure to keep pumpkins high up for birds or squirrels and help to keep our prickly little friends safe! 🦔

Sonny is desperate to find a home to call his own!

Breed: Amercian Bulldog/Staffy Cross
Age: 2 years old
Weight: 32kg
Type of Home needed: Experienced owner, No children and No Pets.

This handsome lad has nearly spent almost a year here at the rescue and he is finding kennel life very stressful. Sonny is so clever and bright and he’s willing to learn new tricks and take on new training challenges. With patience, consistency and positive guidance this gorgeous boy will really thrive.

Sonny is looking for an active home as he does love his walks but can be strong on the lead. He is playful and so loyal as well. He particularly loves spending time with one of our volunteers who comes in to see him every week. He adores him and as you can see from the picture, the feeling is most definitely mutual.

Sonny does have a bite history, which is why we are searching for an experienced owner who is willing to continue with his training and help him to overcome his fears and excel in life. The Kennels Team will provide full support and assistance to any potential adopter.

Meet Priscilla! 🐰

This beautiful girl came to us from a vets after being found straying. We think she is around 4-6 months old and she is a gorgeous lionhead bun.

We are still getting to know Priscilla but she has already shown us some of her adorable personality! She is a typical curious young bun who loves her food. 😋

Priscilla is a sweetheart and loves to climb on top of her box for a good nap! We all can't wait to see this angel in a loving home with an adorable husbun. ❤

👀 Priscilla is not yet ready for bonding but keep an eye out for when she is ready to meet that special someone!

Hello. It’s me, Jim. Or Rita. We’ll let you guess which one of us is speaking 😁

We’ve been waiting 139 days. 139 days since our owners emigrated and we found ourselves needing a new home. 139 days of watching other cats leave with their new families, while we stay behind, hoping our turn will come.
When people visit the cattery looking to adopt, we tend to hide away. The confident cats come forward to say hello, while we watch from a safe distance.

But please, don’t mistake our shyness for a lack of love.

We just need a little time.

Just look at us with our lovely Auntie Gail, one of the lovely people who cares for us in the cattery, she’s given us the time and space to feel safe, and now we’re happy to enjoy fuss, attention and a cuddle. This is the real us, once we feel comfortable enough to let you in.

We have so much love to give. We just might not be brave enough to show you in the first five minutes.

So, when you visit looking for your new best friend, please remember the cats who are hiding at the back. Sometimes, the ones who take a little longer to come around are the ones who will mean the world to you.

Could you be the person who sees past our shyness and gives us a chance?

We don’t need someone to rescue us from being shy. We just need someone willing to get to know us . Thank you

This handsome boy is Kobie, a 8 year old Staffy cross with a heart full of love and so much joy to give. 💛

6 years and 2 months of Dexter's life has been spent here at Freshfields💔 As much as we all love him, we want nothing more than for him to find his furever home🏠

Dexter loves to hop in the car and go for adventures and long walks, he then can't wait to come back to his toys and snuggle up in his blankets! He is looking for an experienced owner who is willing to take the time to get to know each other and to understand each others boundaries and space.

Dexter holds some insecurities when people are around his food/ kennel space so he would need someone who understands and respects this and is happy to work with his insecurities in Dexter's own time. But once this has been achieved, Dexter is the most goofy little guy out there! He just needs a chance 🥺

MEET MOANA + MAUI - WALES RESCUE
These gorgeous little kittens were admitted as part of an unwanted litter that their owner was struggling to rehome, they are extremely cute and playful - and are looking for a home where they can stay together.
Moana ( female tabby ) is a little shy but very playful, she tends to hide behind brother Maui ( black male) as he is more confident - he absolutely loves back tickles !!
They are 9 weeks old and are vaccinated and microchipped, using their litter trays and eating well - they are an adorable pair.
If you are interested in applying to offer them a home, please fill in our kitten application form below, we will contact you once we recieve your form to discuss. They will require access to the outdoors once neutered and old enough to venture out, they can be introduced to other pets once they have settled in, and can live with children.
