🎉 We're delighted to announce that our application to The People's Fund was successful! Thank you to everyone who voted to ensure that we could continue providing access to the Safe Space Studio.

It means that we can keep it open to the young people who need it most: those facing mental health challenges, the risk of exploitation, or barriers that traditional education can't always reach.

A huge thank you to West Yorkshire Combined Authority for this funding, which is part of Mayor Tracy Brabin's region-wide effort to tackle serious violence through community-led projects across West Yorkshire.

✨ Join the University of York for Artists’ Care on the 8 July for a day exploring how musicians can be supported whilst working in complex contexts.

Artists’ Care is a one-day knowledge exchange event bringing together cultural organisations, sector stakeholders, practitioners, and researchers to address the well-being of musicians working in complex contexts.

Music makes lives better — and Sample Library is proof of that.

🎉 Join us for the Sound Steps sharing: an evening of new music from young people in Kirklees.

After 12 weeks of making, experimenting and building confidence together, participants take to the stage to share what they’ve created.

Delivered by Yorkshire Youth and Music at our Safe Space Studio in Huddersfield town centre, Sound Steps offers a supportive, non-judgemental environment where participants can build confidence, skills and routine through collaborative music-making with no previous musical experience needed.

Sound Steps is a partnership with Temple Wellbeing, Central HEaRt and C&K Careers, and is funded by Wellness Works and West Yorkshire Combined Authority and part of Healthy Working Life, a joint programme of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
