A successful litter pick this afternoon 😃👍🏻. Andy, Ann, Tony, Steve Jan and Gary cleared the Lightenfield football field, Lightenfield Lane, Coppice Drive (around the old people’s bungalows) and Moor Lane (between Coppice Drive and the junior school)areas.
Thank you all
A special well done to Tony who, despite cutting his head on a tree branch, continued for the duration 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Fruit Trees Vandalised - Sad News

Someone has destroyed the 12 fruit trees (worth about £420) we planted at the side of the Con Club.

We’ve been watering them during the summer/ during the drought conditions.

We’d hoped they would, in years to come, provide free fruit for the community. It is very sad.

We’re going to try and raise funds and replace them and hope that they are not vandalised.

Join us for the Christmas light switch on this year. Hoping for another wonderful festive event. 🎄🎄🎄🎄

A huge thank you to Ethan, Steve, Jan, Gary and Gillian for your hard work on Tuesday….you managed to clear the site in Bourn View woods where the rough sleeper was living last year.

It was a terrible eyesore and it was a risk to wildlife, so what you’ve done makes a massive difference.

Well done on getting all the rubbish bagged and left by the lay-by at the top of Bankfoot Lane for the council to collect.

We’ve cut the grass around the fruit trees next to Netherton Con, watered the trees, replaced the flag pole in the village (after somebody vandalised it) and refreshed the posters on the noticeboard. A big thanks to Gary, Peter and Richard.
