Make Music Day Takes Over Huddersfield Town Centre

Huddersfield Town Centre will come alive with music on Sunday, 21st June as Make Music Day will take place for a full day of free live performances across multiple locations. Organised by Huddersfield BID alongside cafés, restaurants, retail businesses and night-time economy venues that invest in the BID levy, the event celebrates the power of live music right in the heart of town.

From acoustic sessions and live bands to unexpected performances popping up throughout the day, visitors are invited to explore the town centre, discover new artists and enjoy music completely free of charge. Part of the worldwide Make Music Day movement taking place across 125 countries, Huddersfield will join the global celebration of community, creativity and live performance.

The new wooden planters are the latest addition to the wooden and concrete planters maintained by Huddersfield BID, as part of our ongoing work to enhance the town centre making it a pleasant place to do business.

Part 1 of the project is now complete, with weeds removed, soil turned and fresh bark, kindly supplied by Kirklees Council, added to prepare the planters for the next stage.
