Thanks to all who have sent in clothes for the clothes bank. I’m afraid I can’t take any more at the moment as we have run out of space to store it. I will let you know when we can except any more. X

We will be opening the clothes bank next Monday 26th October.
All clients will need a referral to use the clothes bank.
It will be open on Mondays and Tuesdays
from 10.00 - 12.00.

A big thank you to Hucknall and District Inner Wheel for their hard work in getting the clothes bank ready. We will be officially opening it in the next few weeks.

Please can I ask that you don’t donate bags, belts and clothes or shoes that are not in good clean condition. We do not have the room to store them or the time to sort out unsuitable items. We may be a clothes bank but we are not prepared to give out rubbish to our clients. If you just want to dispose of your stuff regardless of their condition please take it elsewhere.

Hi once again. The clothes bank is progressing and we hope to open it in the next few weeks. I am now in need of coat hangers if anyone has some going spare. If you can’t get to Under One Roof you can put them in the food box at Tesco’s.

Hi everyone, I mentioned previously that we were thinking of starting a clothes and shoe bank at Vine Terrace. We are in the process of getting it up and running but we need your help. I need winter clothes for both men and women that are in good condition and clean. Also shoes, boots or trainers.
Please do not send me dirty clothes or clothes that you would not wear yourself as I do not have time to sort through them or am able to dispose those that are not suitable. Think would I want to wear this garment. Please do not send me summer clothes as we do not have a place to store them.
We need hats, gloves, scarves, socks and underwear.
If you also have sleeping bags, duvets, blankets or tents we will be happy to take them.
Unfortunately there are many homeless people in Hucknall and we are hoping to provide them with suitable clothing to keep them warm over the winter period. Depending on your response we may be able to provide clothes for people on low income as well.
I am also looking for volunteers who may be able to help in the clothes bank as I am busy running the foodbank and can’t be in two places at once. It will only be for a few hours a week probably on a Monday and Tuesday whilst the foodbank is open.
Thank you in advance and if you have any questions please contact me below.
