So this is what we have been brewing with Draft Pick Brewing Company.

We were invited to by Dan Spencer and his team to collaborate with them in making a special b**r for Remembrance.

This is a brand new recipe for a Flemish Brown Ale that invokes the smells and flavours of some of those wonderful Belgian b**rs we all enjoy when visiting Flanders.

Look out for “To The Fallen” at various hostelries in Horsham from the beginning of November.

We are so honoured to have been involved in every aspect of the brewing and packaging of this b**r.

All profit after production and delivery cost incurred by Draft Pick Brewing Company will be donated to the Horsham RBL Poppy Appeal.

Spreading the word about what the RBL has to offer and take some nice early donations for 2026 Poppy Appeal at West Sussex County Council Armed Forces Conference.

This morning along with The Royal Observer Corps Association, Horsham District Council and town council we laid wreaths in commemoration of Battle of Britain Day

“On Battle of Britain Day, we honour ‘the Few’—the brave airmen who stood firm in 1940 and safeguarded our freedom. Their courage still guides us.”

This morning alongside Horsham District Council we commemorated Merchant Navy Day

Merchant Navy Day
Observed on 3 September to mark the anniversary of the sinking of the first British merchant ship (SS Athenia) in 1939 just hours after WWII was declared. Established as an official day of remembrance in 2000.
It Honours the brave men and women of the Merchant Navy who served during times of war and peace, and acknowledges that merchant seafarers handle a vast majority of the UK's imported and traded goods.

The significance of the bell: in WWII an appeal was launched to raise funds for the war effort during Battle Ship Week: Horsham raised enough to purchase HMS Una a U Class Submarine, this is a replica of her ships bell and was rung 8 time to signify the end of the last watch (duty) this is traditionally used at a sailors memorial.
