Keep good clothes circulating in our Horsham community, not in textile waste bins!

Over 40% of the rubbish, by weight, in an average Horsham District bin is made up of food waste. The good news is, soon we'll be able to recycle it: we'll be starting weekly food waste collections next year.

We’re huge fans of everything they do! Pop along & check it out 🤩

Join us on Saturday 25th, United Reformed Church, Horsham, for this month's Sussex Green Hub. Home to the Horsham Repair Cafe. Talk to the recycling team, take part in the new Crafternoon sessions or come along and save food from landfill with Horsham Community Fridge (10-11am).

PLUS: Crafternoons 12.00 – 2.30pm. FREE
Sussex Green Living has received a National Lottery Community Fund grant which will support new activities at the Sussex Green Hub including monthly Crafternoons, creative sessions open to all ages.

To help kick things off:

Jean Francis will run fun sessions at 12 noon and 1pm showing how to make mini people characters (materials provided; donations welcome).

Em from Em Makes will demonstrate how to turn pre-loved clothing, buttons, and beads into unique pieces of art. Bring your own and have a go (canvas and supplies provided).

A brilliant afternoon for wellbeing, creativity, and connection and you’ll take home something handmade too!

Our goal is to give Horsham families year-round, 24/7 access to affordable, quality pre-loved kit.

We were thrilled by the turnout and the wonderful feedback. It was fantastic to meet so many local families before the start of the new school term, despite the rain! ☔
