This Volunteers' Week, we want to recognise and thank the volunteers who make our counselling service possible.

As a Community Interest Company, we are committed to supporting the wellbeing of our local community. Many of our volunteers are members of that same community, giving their time, skills and expertise to help ensure that local people can access the support they need.

Volunteers play a vital role in the delivery of our service. They bring a wealth of experience, care and commitment, helping us extend our reach and provide counselling that might otherwise be unavailable to many people.

The contribution volunteers make to our sector is often underestimated. We are fortunate to work alongside a team of dedicated volunteers whose efforts have a direct and lasting impact on the people we support. Quite simply, we could not operate in the way we do without them.

At Horsham & Crawley Counselling Group (HCCG), we are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to making counselling accessible for people across Horsham, Crawley and the surrounding areas. Our team of qualified and experienced counsellors offers professional counselling for adults, children and young people, and employees in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

💚 A Unique Offering
Our community focus allows us to offer something different to other local services. With HCCG, you can access open ended, low cost counselling in a format that works best for you (we offer sessions face to face, online and over the phone).

💚 A True Community Service
What makes HCCG truly unique is our community heart. We operate on a sliding fee scale based on income, and we can provide financial support when needed so cost is not a barrier to care. All fees and funds raised go straight back into running and developing the service, and to serving the local community we are a part of.

💚 Volunteers at the Core
Most of the counselling offered by our team is delivered on a voluntary basis by counsellors committed to our social mission. These skilled, local practitioners give their time to support local people and contribute to our thriving therapeutic community.

It’s Children’s Mental Health Week 2026, and as a local counselling service based here in Horsham, we want to take a moment to highlight why this week matters so much to us.

Children and young people are navigating a world that can feel overwhelming at times. When they have a space where they feel they belong, where their voice is valued and their identity is understood, how they see themselves and how they move through the world can be transformed.

At our service, we focus on creating those safe, trusting spaces. Places where children can explore who they are, feel grounded in their own story, and know they don’t have to face things alone. We’re proud to stand with our community this week, championing every child’s right to feel seen, supported, and connected.
