Haywards Heath Baptist Church

We had a great time today at the Official Launch of the Haywards Heath CAP Debt Centre.
The room was full of people from local community organisations including the mayor of Haywards Heath, leaders of churches around town, and CAP workers from surrounding debt centres. All here to celebrate the launch of the Haywards Heath CAP Debt Centre.
Susan (Debt centre manger), Julie (from CAP - Christians Against Poverty UK) and Dan (pastor at HHBC) all spoke about starting the Debt Centre and the Debt Help service CAP provides. Then we enjoyed a delicious lunch together, kindly sponsored by Haywards Heath Town Council.
There was a buzz in the room as people connected with a shared heart for the community of Haywards Heath.

Top tip #2 to save money in the school holidays – search for free activities

Check local libraries and museums, or search your council’s website for free activities, meals and holiday programmes.

Churches and community hubs often host free events too, so it’s worth checking community Facebook groups to see what's on in your area.

We found activites at the library, Play Day in Victoria Park on 28 July and Teddy Bears Picnic at Beech Hurst on 21 August. You could go out for a walk or go to the beach.
