Thanks to everyone who came and talked to us at the Haywards Heath Christmas Fair yesterday. We are pleased to award a supporter membership ( giving unlimited free loans from the Library of Things for a year) to one lucky visitor who entered our quiz. For those who are interested the correct answers to our three questions are:
1. Our most borrowed item this year is a carpet shampooer
2. Between our opening in July 2023 and the end of October 747 loan reservations have been made
3. As at the end of October 1226 kg of carbon emissions have been saved by lending out our four most popular items ( based on an assumption that 30% of loans avoid a new item being purchased)

"With more and more people borrowing from us (thank you!) we thought it would be a good time to remind you how our Library of Things works!

Based at the Scout Hut on Eastern Road, Lindfield, we're here to help you save money - and the planet - by borrowing items instead of buying them.

We've got everything from gardening and DIY tools, to cooking equipment, party supplies, camping stuff and household cleaning items.

Just head to our website (https://sharehh.org.uk), register as a member (free regular membership, pay-as-you-borrow, or £50 a year supporter membership, unlimited borrowing), select the item you'd like to borrow and check out!

Items cost between £1 - £7 per week (with a deposit occasionally required for more valuable items). You can pay online when reserving items or on collection using cash or card.

We are open every Tuesday and Saturday morning between 9 and 10.30am.

We can't wait to welcome you 💚

We've got everything you need to tidy up your outdoor space - from leaf blowers and scarifiers, to garden forks and spades, to hedge trimmers and garden strimmers!

By borrowing instead of buying new, you're not only saving yourself money. You're also helping to protect the planet by reducing waste and demand for new products.

Our items cost between £1-5 to reserve and when you're ready to borrow just head to the scout hut on Eastern Road between 9am and 10.30am on Tuesdays or Saturdays to collect.

Happy Birthday to us!

It's been two years since we first loaned out an item from our tool library, and since then you've helped the Share Haywards Heath Library of Things go from strength to strength 💚

We're so grateful to be serving the Lindfield, Haywards Heath and wider Mid Sussex community by lending out household items so you don't have to buy them outright, saving you money and helping save the planet too.
