The weather forecast is looking good for Saturday! With blue skies and warm temperatures, we couldn't ask for a better day to celebrate 30 years of ADD-vance. ☀️

It’s officially picnic week! Our 30th Anniversary Picnic this Saturday (June 20th), and the team is busy getting everything ready. 🧺

If you haven’t got your tickets yet, this is your reminder! It’s completely free to come, but we do need you to register on Eventbrite so we know how many cakes and snacks to buy. 🍰🧁🍓

The theme for this year's Carers Week is 'Building Carer Friendly Communities' 🤝

✨ A truly carer-friendly community starts with making sure that parent carers know their rights and can access the support they are entitled to. Navigating the financial and practical side of SEN parenting can feel like a minefield, but you have rights!

If you are caring for a neurodivergent child or young person, you might be entitled to:

💰 Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for your child to help with extra care costs.
💶 Carer’s Allowance or the carer element of Universal Credit if you provide at least 35 hours of care a week.
📋 A Parent Carer Needs Assessment via Hertfordshire County Council to see what extra practical support your family might need (https://t.ly/oNjUd)
💼 Workplace Rights: Including the statutory right to request flexible working from day one, and unpaid Carer's Leave.
