Good luck to everyone at Haberdashers' Girls' School as they prepare for their School Sleepout tomorrow!

Ahead of the big event, our Community Fundraising Officer, Rebecca, visited their Year 8 assembly to talk about youth homelessness, the challenges many young people face, and how their Sleepout will help raise awareness and support vital services.

A huge thank you to the students and staff for getting behind the challenge and standing in solidarity with young people facing homelessness. 👏

Our Annual Review 2026 is here!

Over the past year, we have worked with 14,972 young people across Hertfordshire to improve their lives through education, advice and support.

👩‍🏫 We taught 13,786 young people vital life skills
🏠 95% of under-16s in our mediation service returned to or remained at home
🧠We released our new strategy, Home2030
🙌 And our Youth Advisory Board is shaping a more youth-led future

Our Youth Advisory Board members, Chari and Elliot, recently spoke with BBC News about the challenges young people face when building their futures in today's economic climate.

In the interview, Chari shared the financial barriers she faces as a care leaver and university student, while Elliot spoke candidly about concerns around the affordability of higher education, housing and independent living.

Their stories highlight a reality that many young people across Hertfordshire are experiencing.
