👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Well look what we did this weekend! What a team! Congratulations and thank you for all those that walked with us, even just for a little part of our 11+ mile walk from Hatfield Foodbank to Redbourne. Many tired legs by the end but we are all very proud of our achievement. Just a couple of days to go until we walk our walk and talk our talk! Our wonderful volunteer Ray has set up a Just Giving page (QR Code below) specifically for donations in support of our walk which will go directly to our foodbank and therefore directly to those in our community who need our help and support. Only a few days to go until our Community Awareness Walk. Here is the QR Code for the route we are taking. Starting at 09:30 from Gracemead Church on Saturday 12th September, we would love you to join us at any point along the way. Chat with us and help raise awareness for our Foodbank.

👣 Saturday 12th September 2026 - Start time 09:30 👣

👞A one-day community walk to raise awareness and build support for the essential services provided by the Hatfield Foodbank.
👞The event will feature a five-hour walk with volunteers as well as friends, family, supporters, and sponsors of the foodbank. It will be a great time to connect, inspire communal action, and foster valuable plus viable help for our mission.
👞Our objective for the walk is to raise awareness of the significant effort by the Hatfield Foodbank in supporting the community. It will also be an opportunity to strengthen local connections by involving residents, schools, businesses, churches, and other organisations.
👞Starting Point Location: Gracemead Church, Gracemead House. Woods Avenue (car park entrance via Dellfield Road, AL10 8EW) AL10 8HX Hatfield
👞End Point Location: The Holly Bush, 33 Church End, Redbourn, St Albans AL3 7DU
👞It is a linear walk which starts at 9.30 am. We will leave Gracemead Church for Redbourn along the Alban Way by the River Ver, walk 289.
👞The off-road route takes us through St Albans Cathedral/Verulamium Park and the Gorhambury Estate Park, both of which offer excellent opportunities to cut out of the walk when necessary.
👞In total, the walk will take 5 hours at a leisurely pace suitable for all, after which the highly recommended Holly Bush Pub awaits our arrival in Redbourn.
👞You are invited to join us in making a difference in our community. Your support through funding, volunteering, or participation will help establish a firmer, more informed, and empathetic community.
👞Whilst the walk is mainly to sensitize the community, donations are appreciated.
