Pannal Sports Junior Football Club runs football teams from U5s to U18s, boys & girls in Harrogate

Over the weekend some of our teams have been in action at the summer galas on offer across the region. Yesterday our U13 girls won their tournament at Wigton Moor - well done girls and coaches 👏🙌👏

Huge congratulations to our U11 girls who won the Shield at the Silsden Gala over the weekend. A superb effort from the girls and well done and thanks to their coaches and sponsors - Spofforth Golf Course.

Well done to our U10 Pannal Sports Lions who entered two teams into the Chapeltown Gala in Leeds. One team finished runners up in one competition and the other won their competition. This comes after the success of winning the Harrogate League U10s cup a few weeks ago. Great work guys and thanks to their coaches - Andy, Neil, Joe and Si for supporting the boys.

The U17 Pumas played their last game this weekend, running out 2-5 winners in their last league game ever, a fabulous end to their journey with PSJFC.

Carl, Martin⁩ and Ian⁩ have coached these boys since they were 10, which is a huge dedication over a number of years for these volunteers and the club are extremely grateful for all that you have done for the boys and Pannal Sports.

Last week our U13 Lions played their final game of the season. Victory in this game would mean the boys would win the U13A league by one point.

In a hard fought away game, in the heat, the boys managed to go 0-1 up, only to concede a penalty in the last 3/4 minutes of the game, which the opposition converted. However, the boys never gave up and pushed on to get a second goal in the dying 90 seconds of the game and win the league.

This is a team formed from members of two previous 9 a side squads and they’ve had a great year learning how to play effectively as a team. It was a close fought battle that they successfully won and led to them being crowned the league champions.

Congratulations to the boys and their coaches in Tim, Bryn, John and Simon.

A special shoutout to the boys’ sponsors for both their home kit and their away shirt. All three teams in this age group (55 kits in total) wear these kits, so a huge thank you to Varleys Bradford and Make It So for their support.

The final game of the season for the U7 Tigers ended in a win today. A great first season, with huge improvements since their first game. Well done boys and coaches.

Many of these players will be taking on the Junior Warrior challenge in aid of Candlelighters soon too.

Here are our fabulous U14 girls who were crowned the Shield runners up today. A very tight game in the final, but a huge achievement to have even reached this point.

A massive well done to our U8’s who took part in yesterday’s Kirk Deighton Development Gala ⚽️

Both teams showed brilliant football and even better team spirit, which made the day so special and we are incredibly proud of everyone involved.

Team 2 went unbeaten in the group stage and finished joint top, reaching the semi final of the Champions League.

They showed great determination coming from 1 nil down with a last minute overhead kick to take it to extra time, eventually losing 2-1 to the eventual winners. Outstanding effort from every player 💪

Team 1 are EUROPA LEAGUE WINNERS 🏆

They stayed focused all day and showed amazing composure, winning penalty shootouts in both the semi final and final.

A fantastic day of football and a huge thank you to all parents and supporters for the incredible backing 🟢⚽️
